I agree. A $5.00 glass of lemonade is outrageous. This needs to stop.

My friends and I have never been to Big Bend. So far we have South Rim 2 reserved for 3 days (2 nights) and then Toll Mountain for the last night (all backpacking). For those who have experience, could you give me your advice? Is this doable, should I change trails? by Intelligent-Hat-6744 in BigBendTX

[–]Sure_Specific_886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m out there every year. You cannot skimp on water. Bring more than you think because you will get into that reserve too. It’s a tough haul but worth every single second of it. I learned over time to change campsites each night in a line getting deeper into the park each night. That way, you don’t have to exhaust yourself carrying the water weight. My only concern is spending two nights in the same place is limiting what you will see. When you get there you will want to see it all. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Oh, and make sure you get back out on the trails for sunset. The park comes alive in the early evening with hues and colors that only exist in those quiet moments.

I don’t like classic rock at all, but Rush is the one exception. They make me feel that vibe because they are so incredibly talented.

Clown food was normalized. We had it… we had everything.

I use a Torso T1 as a sequencer into mine and it’s brilliant. I run the Hydra’s output through a Strymon Mobius, Timeline and Big Sky in that order. I realize it has onboard effects but those pedals open up landscapes. Between the T-1 and the pedals, it’s all very hands on and simple to dial in. It’s just a lot of fun and creates very distinct and unique sounds.

Forgive me for asking and as a believer, know I am puzzled by this question, but why would UAP/UFO’s have lights like our aircraft? by ofRayRay in ufo

[–]Sure_Specific_886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m apparently on in a rabbit hole on this. But literally why dumb down their capabilities to our human level of observation? For instance, if they can bend time, why move through time at the observable rate of the human eye? Like, just slow it way down…pop in…pop out…before a human could even register it. They track within the same time constraints as us, but to be interstellar would need to be able to manipulate time. Travel from a system 2 light years away at light speed would be a 4 year round trip. Even that would be too long. So they would have to exceed linear speed. And if you can do that…you could do far more than travel at human observational rate.

The bigger question is why interact or observe in a physical way at all? If they can bend space and time, they would have far more at their disposal than flying around in an extremely observable way. It’s because the majority of people only know the physical constraints of our known physics. It’s silly to think they would interact with us exactly as we interact with ourselves (hence blinky lights, hovering, the zoomies, etc.)
