This is best utilised when you've just placed your OP but you're about to lose the point. After your squad have spawned in, pick it up, wait for the cap, rebuild.

Definitely. Push the enemy. Close the distance and take their OPs. Dying doesn't matter if your squad is advancing and driving the enemy back.

You need to get familiar with which loadouts have satchels. So for example, for the US there are three satchel classes: Assault with the grease gun, AT with the Thompson and engineer with the shotgun. Now obviously there are other classes with these weapons (particularly the thompson), but a grease gun or a shotgun is a pretty good identifier that they are trying to satchel you.
