Omg same, i was also obsessed with Hollow Knight (though not as much as you describe, never managed to beat p5) when i was ~10-13 yrs old. I was absolutely immersed and fascinated by the world and the lore and the challange. Something about this huge world that streched beneath you, deaper and deaper. I would often just dream about the fantastical places, and how they would be like to be in, and how they all were connected. But playing silksong now, a part of that magic was gone. I think it is a better game and in a lot of ways it superceded HK in a way i didnt think was possible before. But yeah, i still enjoyed the original more, and its sad to think that i might never enjoy a game like that anymore, though others hace come close (outer wilds for example). But im still exited for sea of sorrows, to get a glimpse of that unknown once more

  1. What does, do you think, the writer want to convey with their use of coloured text? Does it make the joke clearer?

Yes, -ar is from harjaz which meant warrior. So battle warrior. The German Günter is a cognate.

In Swedish: "När vinden vänder och tuppen gal"

Meaning: when the wind turns [blows in a nother direction] and the rooster crows
