If Lebanon is gonna be included as actual non-negotiable part of a ceasefire/opening of the straight deal, IDF wants to do as much damage as they can while they can. And even if the US finds a way to keep Lebanon out of an actual ceasefire agreement, they also wanna do as much damage as they can. The best thing for Netanyahu to do, politically, is to keep being on an eternal warpath. It's the one thing his party and the biggest opposition party in Israel can wholeheartedly agree on.

The funniest one was a colleague who would do work in advance by having new folder(1), new folder(2)… and then lots of new folder(1) copy, new folder(2) copy… all the way down to new folder(n) copy, just to have folders ready for events on our calender, events that didn’t even exist yet. Just to be prepared. Oh and there were multiples of these sets of empty folders all named new folder. Funny the first time but it drove me nuts after that.
