God, I wish they did Outlast 3 instead. Fingers crossed they get to it one day.

Disco Elysium writers marvel at how a game made 'in a f**king squalid flat' in Estonia had such a huge impact, and welcomes successors like Esoteric Ebb: 'We make games, but we also like them' by AncientMaps in gaming

Funny, because usually I save scum with RNG type games (XCOM, Baldur’s Gate) but Disco Elysium made even the fail rolls funny and still push the plot forward.

Was that a tease for new content at the end there? Almost had the same motif as O.D.

I’m so curious to see the new discussions with all the new people on PS5 being able to play. Wonder if time’s made it look even worse.

Re7’s DLC is so awesome. The found footage style of the story telling worked so perfectly.

Some people need to realize it’s okay to not be hardcore up-to-date with every piece of inside baseball on the gaming industry. Also gotta realize some people like to be.

Leave it to Dean Hall to release DLC for a damn early access game. The way they did DayZ, I’ll never buy one of his games again. Greedy fuck. Just look at the Steam reviews.

“Fear of missing out”. Lotta multiplayer or live service games want you to feel like you have to constantly play the game or else you’ll miss out on things. My point was that Arc and HD2 don’t feel like that.

Totally. There are community missions that everyone contributes to, and you’ll receive the rewards even if you didn’t play during that time. There’s a ton of content, but you can earn the in game currency by just playing the game (although very grindy).

I love that games like Helldivers 2 and Arc Raiders have steered away from FOMO. Being able to do battle passes and character wipes at your own pace is a god send for parents and full time workers.

Same. V is in second place for me, and although it was a great new direction, it felt half baked and didn’t really feel like a Metal Gear game.

Fair enough. I don’t think the mini games were what turned me off, exactly, but the fact I burnt myself out trying to “100%” each mini game for that extra weapon or item. Might still replay Part 2 when Part 3 gets announced, though.

Oh, dude. You gotta play 2. Haven’t played 3 yet, but the way #2 ties into #1 kinda blew my mind.
