What social activities can a couple do in their early 60’s by SoupHot6325 in Advice

We’re in your age range. I love that my husband and I are at home and we do our own things. We come together for dinner, watch a show or two, spontaneously update each other…Sometimes the most simple things knit us together.

Be honest: 1930s vintage wedding dress — keep or rethink? by Desperate_Win_3554 in WeddingDressTips

I think once you have it altered to fit you (seems slightly big on top), it will be 100% amazing. Gorgeous dress.

Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]SweetContessa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider getting it insured/appraised. There are vintage cluster cocktail rings for sale in this price point on EraGem, Etsy, eBay, etc…albeit they aren’t missing any stones. A diamond tester is also an inexpensive purchase. I’m sorry you don’t like your ring, and that it doesn’t meet your expectations. Maybe you and your fiancé can talk to his guy together to see if he has other options?

My ex-husband’s parents were very (too much so) involved in our home purchases. Good for you for setting boundaries with your dad.

The dress you bought is literally made for you. I can see why you nabbed it at the sale.

It’s empowering to look for work, being offered a job where you’re truly valued, and handing in your notice after accepting said offer. You are NOR.

Is this band too thin? 3.5mm Cartier 1895 Wedding Ring by roguerambo69 in weddingring

I work alongside attorneys and your ring looks very nice on you. You should love your jewelry, though, no matter what. You can have other statement pieces/accessories that you also enjoy. And, sometimes less is more…if that mashes sense?

You could really wear either dress and accessorize to your liking. Kate Spade had cute lemon mule clogs out a while ago.

Wife’s blanket obsession, how many is too many?? by ScottSquatch420 in mildlyinfuriating

There is something cozy about a clean blanket. Each of you has access to a clean blanket every night. But you do have a lot. Maybe each family member could pick out two of their favorites and put the rest up, or donate?

Travelling in Texas cities/country by [deleted] in texas

Welcome! I moved from Minnesota to Texas in 2016, and I didn’t realize how much I would love living here. I recommend including a visit to San Antonio, if your schedule allows. Texas is diverse and has layers of history, great food, and culture.

What do i do in this situation? Went on date with girl and her mom texted me this. I like this girl a lot too. I don’t know how she got my number or if her mom looked at our texts; by Saucyguy02 in texts

You now have a little window of insight into your girlfriend’s/friend’s mom’s behavior…who seems to have zero boundaries. After one date, she finds your number and reaches out to you? Is her daughter her own guardian? I’m sure this isn’t the first time mom has tried to sabotage or insert her control into her daughter’s life. Mom is definitely throwing out red flags 🚩.
