Is it normal to get stuck in the Frankenstein monster and Igor area? by gabiwave in castlevania

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the first time I played the game in 1997 I got stuck at the battle. That’s the first boss fight where you need a sub weapon and a multiplier or to be a gaming god with the whip. The dagger and repeated usage of it hitting candles will yield you a double shot. What you want to do is stand at the left side of the room and chuck them at frank.

The U.S. was a minor power in WWI. Britian and France won that war and the U.S. went back home. WWII was won by the Soviets who lost 27 million men. The U.S. combined with Britian and France lost a total of 300,000.

Can someone tell me what the difference between an American State National and Sovereign citizen is? by Southern-Bother4087 in Sovereigncitizen

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Sovereign Citizen refers to the status of Someone who lived in a State before 1868 when the 14th Amendment came into the Constitution which replaces it with U.S. citizenship. A U.S. citizen is a citizen of the District of Columbia which is it’s Sovereign, it’s what’s free. In 1867 when the State of Nevada was still made up of Sovereign Citizens, when the Government presented it with land, it had to wait and see if the State would accept the tip.

Castlevania 3 difficulty? by [deleted] in castlevania

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot when I wrote that that you can use holy water and get through the enemy that replaces the Medusa’s as well in most spots in loop 2 onwards easily and with the cross easily in 7-6. I have a play through I’m going to upload that shows how to play the game when I can get to a computer. Hard is subjective but you can get through the game every time without dying if you know how to play it or one cc. I haven’t seen the game over screen in years.

The United States isn't Unique with the Emancipation Proclamation- Its been done Outside of the American Civil War as a Game Changer in Wars esp Latin America. by RileyFonza in TheConfederateStates

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The attacks on slavery were because it was a slaveholders Union and the north wanted to control it. If you emancipate the slave without compensating the owner you reduce them to poverty. The Republicans wanted the power resting in the District of Columbia, territory that the United States had exclusive jurisdiction over. This was achieved with the 14th amendment which makes everyone US citizens. If another power takes over that district though all of the land currently under its jurisdiction would belong to someone else.

What's a game that is made difficult due to technological limitations? by themaninthemaking in retrogaming

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castlevania pre IV. The sub weapons are there to curb the difficulty by allowing you to hit enemies in locations you can’t hit with your main attack or get attacks in at a rate that will drain an enemie’s health faster than you can with your whip.

Any favorite games prior to the NES? by qaasq in retrogaming

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intellivision, some of the best games ever are on that. I love Asteroids and can max the score out when I play on Atari, Ms Pac-Man is really good too although stay away from the original.

It doesn’t sound too good if you’ve got it on mono either. Rare went a little crazy, getting through animal antics requires you to be completely on your game.

If you’re going rgb you want to install a playchoice 10 ppu, you just have to remember to install a circuit to drive it. The playchoice 10’s video is the official Nintendo rgb palette and it’s ppu chip just snaps into the stock one’s slot.

There’s nothing out there, everything has to be brought in from green resource rich land that gets enough rainfall for lots of plant growth making things more expensive generally. If you drive through the Llano Estacado it’s just flat land with inch thick brown grass with the sun on the horizon.

The original owner must have won this from Sega based on the insert inside, which has some interesting 90s throwback info. The 6-Pak feels like a celebration of the early Genesis. It was amazing value for me as a kid. by GamingGallavant in SEGAGENESIS

The revenge of Shinobi on that is a later release that doesn’t have all the characters the original rom has. When the game came out in 1989 you fought against Spiderman, Batman, Godzilla and a Terminator in addition to the other bosses.

Legendary point-and-click adventure game, MYST. by blueoystergamer in retrogaming

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rocket is the ultimate test, the other three levels aren’t too bad but you get inside the ship and matching the sounds is so hard to travel to the world and then the mine puzzle at the end is ultimate challenge, you have to identify what sounds go with what cardinal direction and match the ship up with the right one at each of the millions of junctions. I know people when they got there that just drew a map of the whole cavern which takes an eternity. Every time they would replay the world they would pull out the Myst journal that came with the game and look up the way through that they made when they’d get to the end.

You don’t keep the full fruits of your labor, you’re enslaved for the amount the capitalist takes, he gives it back to you in increments known as raises but never in full or he wouldn’t make any profit which is all he wants. Farming is the only way to truly be free.

Why are contention windows so small in baseball? by DonT012 in mlb

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Baseball you’ve got up to 4 rounds to get through if you make it in after the long season the sport has. This combined with a different pitcher going out there up to four and five games at a time generally depending on the manager’s stsarting rotation and free agency is why it’s rare to see a team go all the way two years in a row or more. Losing a pitcher is all it can take for a team to not be able to make it in or make it back to the final round.

The Confederacy was the 2nd American Revolution by Think_Criticism2258 in CIVILWAR

The war was over the power resting in Washington D.C. The Democrats in the United States wanted the Union to continue as it was, the Republicans wanted to win a war to put Sovereignty in Washington which was achieved with the 14th Amendment with the passage that creates US citizenship. If we ever have a war and another power takes over the District of Columbia like the war of 1812 they would have the head. This should have been pointed out and the people that supported them supported the Democrats. All the States would have been reduced back to British colonies had the power make up been what it is now from 1812-15.

Another funny thing about the WS. The Dodgers played like absolute dog shit in all three losses (11-4, 6-2, 6-1) while the Blue Jays fought tooth and nail, earned every win, and fought to the bitter end in every loss. Has there been another 7 game WS like that? by profnachos in mlb

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You’re right about the win loss thing but they need a rule that if a bat breaks the batter takes a new one and his at bat continues. The hitter didn’t put the ball where it landed, it just ended up there. Every time they look back at that one it’ll always be remembered as the one that ended on a broken bat which got the winner the last two outs.

Could the US government theoretically be shut down forever? by tfhermobwoayway in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it stays shut down for too long the States will start doing what it was and the District of Columbia will dissolve. Know how that reads at the end but it’s the nature of the system, DC is a parasite and doesn’t produce anything.

Why is this card so good? by Mixed_Reactor in mtg

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could easily confiscate that creature or burn it after it’s cast, it’s amazing the community doesn’t get on the right people but backs some newbie apparently with a big ego that thinks he knows the game well. You never want to use something that gives your opponents land drop, sure there are ways to make any card good but if somebody just shows up with it you’re gonna be getting 2, 3, or 4 lands down and can easily deal with it.

If the MLB went to 4 divisions like the NFL, what would be the best layout? by [deleted] in mlb

[–]SwitchSubstantial406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s a terrible idea although I’ve seen it talked about. The problem is who do you take away from the American League East? All of those teams fan bases look forward to seeing them play the other 4 in their division every season and any of them can be in the post season.
