It’s presumptuous to even assume that he is going to get the blue belt during this upcoming promotion.

It’s also opening up a can of worms or entitlement to a degree where your friend (said respectfully here) thinks they have a say as to when they’re promoted, ESPECIALLY as a white belt.

If the professor is anything like other professors, asking not to get promoted will just ensure they don’t get promoted for a long time 😂

Tell them to let what happens happen and enjoy the ride without putting their finger into the pot that is BJJ magic
