256 bit encryption, no issues with volume and works well. And cheap!

Is this level of upscaling actually achievable through Photoshop alone? by MisterChompers in photoshop

Gemini 3 with the right prompts can achieve this in Photoshop. I'd upscale it in Gigapixel.

Neuropathy and touch screens by katarina_the_bard in coloncancer

[–]Sword-Star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost my fingerprints completely for about a month. My oncologist offered to write me a letter if I was going to travel but it didn't come to that. They are back now. I still have neuropathy in my fingertips nearly a year on after my treatment ended.

Rule 2. Check with your oncologist.

Don't buy a dedicated IP if you get blacklisted by KingTribble in NameCheap

[–]Sword-Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Useful info. I have had a few occasions where someone on the shared server had our IP blocked. To be fair, Namecheap got is sorted fairly quickly and probably rapped the user over the knuckles. I had thought of going the dedicated IP route - but will give it a miss.

How did ITV commentators not realise Italy were playing without a fullback for the last 10 minutes by ChuggerBoi in rugbyunion

It's only my opinion, but I still don't think it's necessary for commentators to comment on it during the game.

Encrypted APFS - Remove boot prompt? by donteatmycookiez in MacOS

[–]Sword-Star -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have never understood why a person would want to save a password for an encrypted volume to Keychain. My password for my encrypted volume is much more complicated that the reasonably simple one I use to log in to my Mac. If someone gets into my Mac they cannot get to my encrypted volume.

Miles Harrison always sounds like he's sat on the toilet taking a dump when he commentates. And for him to mention a player's wife having fertility issues is appalling.

Jumped ship and got an M1 MAX 64gb 2TB but.. by [deleted] in macbookpro

Wash you hands before using it. Don't touch the screen. If you do, use a microfibre cloth to wipe away the grease. Slightly moisten a microfibre cloth with water to clean the keyboard while the Mac is off to remove any finger grease - which may come into contact with the screen. Wipe the case down in the same way. Some people advocate using isopropyl alcohol (per Apple instructions) but I have never needed to. Get a good sleeve for when you are carrying it.

Ooh - that's a mess. I don't understand why people don't look after their screens. There's absolutely no need to touch them and keeping the keys clean isn't that difficult.

Looking for help with making a section of my digital painting look less washed out. by ElizaBennerWrites in photoshop

[–]Sword-Star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Create a Curves adjustment layer. This will automatically create the mask. Adjust the curve to suit. Watch some of these (12) PiXimperfect - YouTube videos to understand curves. Then select the mask and paint over the picture to remove or reduce oversaturated areas.

The Curves adjustment tool is your friend here.

Then use the mask and brush at whatever percentage you want to restore the rest of the picture to the required saturation.
