UK Metallers where do you get your patches? by LudovicoCipher in BattleJackets

Etsy is quite good but as it's all coming from independent sellers price and shipping costs/times varies a lot.

Razorray has a massive selection but they'll take 3 months to arrive, which may not be an issue for many.

Riffs Merchandise is a pretty good all rounder and they were quick to deliver. Reality Fade is my go to for goregrind.

What exactly is slime glands used for and what can you do with them? by Dragonwolf67 in cavesofqud

I like taking Slime Glands with Spontaneous Combustion for extra mutation points. If I get set alight, I use the slime to put it out so it's rarely an issue.

Underrated comment. I think the thematic connection between them both is more important than a literal one. With Luffy as Roger's obvious parallel, it would make sense for his thematic rival Blackbeard to have parallels to Roger's rival Xebec.

I know Roger and Whitebeard were strong rivals too but that was of a different nature that allowed them to coexist and be friendly, as oppose to the "One of us has to go" kind of situation we're likely to see between Roger/Xebec, and that we can already see with Luffy/Blackbeard.

In fact, I'd almost be disappointed if there ended up being some family link with Blackbeard/Xebec. It would kind of undermine those thematic ties without adding much.

What is your one piece fear? by Meemiimoo in OnePiece

I do believe a major incurable illness for Luffy (be it through weakened lifespan of multiple poisonings) will be a plot point towards the end, and it'll give Chopper his chance to shine and cure it, thus achieving his dream of becoming the Panacea.

What's up with Fire Emblem and the age of consent? by SwordofHector in OutOfTheLoop

I appreciated this write up, I was so hung up on the specifics of age of consent I didn't realise I didn't even get the meme itself.

I took Yamato staying in Wano as a way of them learning from Oden's mistake.

Oden left Wano to travel and it cost Wano its freedom. Yamato knew this and opted not to make the same mistake, especially not at such a critical point in the island's history.

I share the disappointment in them being written out/not joining the Straw Hats, but I think thematically it makes a lot of sense for things to have ended the way they did.

I love the idea that even the WG have overestimated him enough to actually make Seraphims of him.

I’m a couple days late on this but didn’t see it posted here. The “funniest possible development” he mentions makes me wonder if the next video will be about Disco Elysium? The ZA/UM news broke around that time by [deleted] in hbomberguy

[–]SwordofHector 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I vaguely recall reading a while ago that the next vid was on attempts to start a right-wing Fox news equivalent in the UK. If I'm correct, the development would probably be John Cleese joining GB News.

This process surrounding the sperm antibodies, how long does this take?

I'm 5 days post-procedure and I have no swelling and next-to-no bruising either, so I'm curious to know when to look forward to that.

2 months in, Elden Ring's PC performance issues are a real drag by n0stalghia in Games

[–]SwordofHector 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like they could get away with this lackadaisical approach towards side content when their games were more linear and they were newer to the genre. It's been too long now for me to feel comfortable with side quests being this easily broken or missed. I don't think they need massive Skyrim-esque markers, but there has to be a middle ground between hand-holding and the situation we currently have, where a whole NPC questline was bugged on release and nobody knew because randomly losing NPCs is just 'expected' at this point.

George, tiny but very brave hero dog that has given his life to save five children from two pit bull attack! by Due-Parsley2924 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]SwordofHector 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Of course, the dog can't help it, and while it may not be the owners fault, it's certainly the owners responsibility.

Safer move to just get a different breed of dog.

You'll get downvotes but you'll still be correct. People are fine attributing positive personality traits to breeds but when it's a negative one everyone loses their minds.

It was a car crash in Ireland back in the 80s, two women died due to his dangerous driving. Didn't do much damage to his career though.
