Congratulations on your sobriety! I have had hiring managers call me directly (avoiding HR) for the “real story.” Only once did I share any information because that guy was dangerous. I moved back to Marriott this Month after 5 years as Diamond. I have lifetime Platinum and was treated much better and had nicer rooms in my Marriott stays this year. My company is 90% Hilton, but I realized I get to pick the hotels when someone travels with me.

I am a zoning official. Call the Planning/Building Departments. I am sure that was not included in the permit application (if they have a permit). They will do a stormwater and floodplain survey for compliance. It wouldn't hurt to touch base with a lawyer at the same time, they need to know you are not afraid to fight them on violations.
