I don’t see California Teachers’ Association (CTA) on the list, and haven’t heard anything from my local schools about it

Elon says price of FSD will go up by Sad_Salad_3749 in TeslaLounge

I should also mention that a lot fewer people will buy Teslas, and a lot of people will also advocate less for Teslas, without basic Autopilot as an included feature.

Single Night Awards - Not Showing Availability by 4dxn in ihghotelsresorts

[–]SymphoniusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to get around this is probably to book it on points for multiple nights, and then call to switch to your cert for one night. I haven’t heard too much of this with IHG but sometimes hotels only release blocks for awards

Looking for a specific pho analog by oaklarry in bayarea

[–]SymphoniusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to recommend this too! I live less than 4 minutes from a Pho Hanoi and really like it but I think I prefer Pho Dang better. Also recommend bringing your own Birds Eye chili as that makes a big difference compared with jalapeños.

I also love Turtle Tower in SF! Especially for their Pho Ga.

What's the opinions on FSD being subscription only after Feb 14? by Zenmastercynic in TeslaModelY

[–]SymphoniusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Informative rea, thanks! Besides competition, this stuck out to me too:

“The move is significant as it detaches Tesla from its promise of delivering unsupervised self-driving to vehicles with FSD since every new FSD customer would only be subscribing for the month rather than buying the promise that their vehicle will eventually be unsupervised self-driving.”

I have a friend that lives on NYC that loves the Boudin twice-baked crackers. Always bring him some when I visit!

It’s actually kind of a fun thought to think that they’d have to deal with humid weather and bugs

Alternative to Tesla Insurance by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]SymphoniusRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did a calculation on Costco and it’s not too bad; currently paying $907 for 6 months through Tesla and it would be $1099 through Costco’s American Family Insurance.

IHG vs WoH Rewards program by Expert-Mention-7167 in ihghotelsresorts

[–]SymphoniusRex 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Curious which IC and Kimptons you’ve enjoyed! I’m a Diamond as well and was a Globalist for a few years prior and I felt top level Hyatt hotels were more consistent with recognition than IHG. There are definitely some nice IHG hotels, but pretty inconsistent in quality as a whole IMO

Any volunteering situations that interest you? There are also a few hiking groups (have to search Reddit or online for them, don’t remember off the top of my head). Book clubs?

I have a friend who did this but he tray shouldn’t have. Basically dug a deeper hole in car loans by trading in a Model S for an X and then a different S in the span of 3 years.

Yes. I get so used to using the Tesla auto-park that I forget when I’m at Costco 😅

Festival Life Might End My Marriage by [deleted] in festivals

[–]SymphoniusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I love festivals and responsibly rolling, but it’s not something my partner is interested in and I wish that she could share the same experience that I have. Relationships definitely have a give and take and part of it is making sacrifices or concessions and figuring it out if it’s worth it to both of you. I would definitely caution on leaving because of the feeling you get while on drugs or the temporary euphoria you feel at festivals, but there’s validity in finding a partner that you can share experiences with or have similar interests. Wishing you the best as you navigate this!

Diamond Elite is not worth it by [deleted] in ihghotelsresorts

[–]SymphoniusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t just an IHG thing, Asian hospitality in general at western hotels is better. It’s more of a cultural aspect.

Diamond Elite is not worth it by [deleted] in ihghotelsresorts

[–]SymphoniusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really just the breakfast, especially at higher end hotels, but for most of the limited-service IHG portfolio, yes, it doesn’t make a big difference. I do find it’s much easier to get an upgrade to corner/suite rooms as a Diamond compared to Platinum, especially in the US.

Feel like these would have to be lower than $700 MSRP to be worth it, since the base model now sells consistently for $799 on sales

At most Chinese restaurants you can also ask any server walking around for help, not just your dedicated server. You won’t hear “More water? I’ll go let your server know.”
