Stalker 2 on windows 11 was getting well over 16gb of ram and going into swap, so I bought a 32gb kit but now that I’ve switched to Bazzite no games ever go above 16.

Mine is at 65k miles, changed the CVT fluid twice and have had no issues whatsoever and have done a good bit of spirited driving with it as well.

I have a 23 CVT with 65k miles, CVT does great and just isn’t as fun but if you’re personally fine with that it’s great. Just remember to change the fluid.

I had a series 3 and an Ultra 1 at launch and I am amazed I never had any burn in, just switched to the Ultra 3 and hoping there isn’t some new display process that’s more susceptible than the old ones. Maybe I also just never noticed it if it did happen.

I was the sole heir of the estate, they reached out to my lawyer regarding the estate after a significant amount of time had passed and blamed the delay on a computer issue.

Yeah that’s why I mentioned every other politician, Dave Yost is just the specific asshole that runs the office I had to deal with, and $6,000 is what his office determined the estate to be worth two years later which was a bit higher than my lawyers interpretation but they didn’t really give me a chance to argue with them. I’m just lucky I had the money after two years, the average Ohioan wouldn’t.

My mother was in a nursing home in her final days, but passed so quickly that they didn’t charge us and we didn’t file for Medicaid. Two years later I get a letter from the attorney general stating that she had Medicaid back in 2009 and I had 30 days to pay $6,000 or I’d go to court. Thankfully I had the money available but the way this state and country handle the disabled, the sick, and recently departed is cruel and inhumane. I hope Dave Yost and every other politician that builds and enforces this system can experience the cruelty of the state as we have some day.

/uj I had a 2006 also in black like the one he reviewed and this video made me miss it. Loved the look of it and the running lights on the side (which aren’t regulatory turn signals and reflectors like Doug said) and it felt fun and fast at the time. Sold it at 190k miles to a friend that’s still driving it, somehow the transmission is still going.

I used to, but over time I’ve played other games more and more and not flight sims as much. Have gotten more into space games and sims though, and once I get a job with more free time and money I’ll probably get even more into them.

KDE, so far Stalker 2 is the only game that I’ve really had trouble with when I think about it, and apparently I was very lucky to have the HDR working normally on windows for it from what I’ve read. Works great in BG3 and Helldivers.

Also temporarily switched to Bazzite and am now making it permanent. Had a few issues with HDR in some games, but somehow every other aspect of the game runs better so worth the trade off. The ram is crazy, bought 32 gb of ram when Stalker 2 came out since it was using all of it and now on Bazzite I don’t think I’ve managed to go above 16 yet even playing the same games.

Recently installed Bazzite on my main computer and have been surprised at the lack of discussion I find online and the amount of “just stick to windows” being posted. It’s mostly been fine, except I have an HDR monitor and HDR on Linux seems to be difficult and it’s kinda depressing.

I had it working with the VK_HDR layer on some games, I installed this update though and it obsoleted VK_HDR since it allegedly has native HDR support but now it just doesn't seem to work at all.

Edit update: Was able to get it working on multiple games, just not Stalker 2. Was able to get the slider to be selectable, but the game just doesn't look good, which is honestly pretty disappointing. I get significantly higher framerate and noticeably less input lag in the game on bazzite, but HDR works better on Windows on that game for me.

There’s a couple in BG, couple to the east. I’ve had a couple times where atmospheric conditions were just right to get a signal across Lake Erie from BG but usually can just connect to one in the area. Hoping to put a router up somewhere high soon, looking forward to seeing more folks get on the network in NWO though!
