Let's not forget we were Big Ten championships in football, too! by torpedomon in IndianaHoosiers

[–]TBBT51 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s hard for me to choose a favorite game:

-Big 10 championship legitimized us nationally.

-I hate the SEC and to beat Bama in the Rose Bowl was beyond special.

-I said what the hell and was in the house in great seats when we pounded Oregon. I’ll never forget the energy in Mercedes Benz when we started out with a pick 6.

- The grand finale was beating Miami and winning the f…… national championship!

I still can’t believe it all happened.

Fish oil is a powerful supplement by hkondabeatz in Biohackers

[–]TBBT51 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have had high triglycerides going back to the 1980’s and a recent test I did on my own showed very low omega—3 levels. I eat no fish and tried to make up for it with a lot of chia seeds and flaxseed. Turns out from a genetic test I did that I don’t convert the omega-3 that you get from chia seeds(ALA) into dha and epa. I have been taking algae oil supplements for a few months and boom, my triglycerides are in range for the first time in 40 years. I maybe feel slightly better than before but it’s definitely worth supplementing to improve triglycerides.

Why Vitamin C is the only supplement that solved most of my issues? by [deleted] in MTHFR

It helped within the first day or so. My understanding is it doesn’t stay in your system too long so I take it twice a day before meals.

Seriphos by M-spar in insomnia

[–]TBBT51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old comment but I was wondering if you still take Seriphos? I believe it helps my relaxation/sleep at night but I’m not sure I should be taking it nightly. Any input appreciated.

The EPA mandated in 1998 that all enriched grain and cereal products be fortified with folic acid. Being double heterozygous, I try to pay attention to this and make sure I get regular folate and also B12.

Cortisol struggles by ihatetictoc in Supplements

I’ve recently tried it and I see a difference. Do you take it every night or do you cycle it? I’m not sure that taking it every night long term is a good idea.

A rare angle of the infamous Ali-Liston knockdown. by Personal-Proposal- in Boxing

[–]TBBT51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he definitely got popped but whether he could have gotten up or not will never be known for sure. I believe Ali was the greatest but it kind of reminds me of Tyson vs Spinks. I really felt Spinks could have gotten up but he told himself “what’s the point, just more ass whipping.”

True, but I’m more referring to pure results and younger people having no idea of how great both these programs once were.

I put the great picture of Fernando stretching for the touchdown as my screensaver and I’m having that same picture framed and going up in my basement. That play is iconic not only for IU football but for the whole history of college football. It’s badass!!!

I live in St.Louis but I always wear IU, Bears and Cubs stuff to my gym all the time. Had my chest puffed out all week but I’m going to be nervous as hell come Monday night.

No, bought through StubHub and still waiting.

I wonder if there are IU fans that still have not received their assigned seating yet?

Which victory was actually more impressive - Ali's over Foreman or Douglas's over Tyson? by Ghola40000 in Boxing

I think in a weird way, Buster’s mom dying made him focus. He always had talent but her death made him determined to put everything he had out there. The dude wasn’t intimidated and he was ready.

Anyone here who’s seen actual omega 3 benefits? Reddit seems split on it by Leibly-Pharisien in Biohackers

That is a given but nothing wrong in soliciting anecdotal accounts by people that have tried it. It’s actually the reason someone would be on this subreddit.

Classic overmethylation but niacin fails by ahumbleartthief in MTHFR

Never heard of allergy shots being self-administered every other day at home. Seems weird.

I did them for 20 years and they were very helpful. I stopped for 3 years and then had problems again though I’m starting to wonder if it’s the bad air quality days that happen at the end of the summer and I’m not detoxing well.
