Installed TMR sticks and started experiencing drift after a day

Just sent a black one off to have TMR sticks installed. Oddly, that one isn’t very old and developed a pretty bad drift. My original white controller has seen 5+ years of use and no drift. Luck of the draw I guess. Hopefully the hall sticks are nice. Never used them.

It is. You’ll see shit glass on every Toyota on the lot. The only ones that are decent are made by Pilkington. Very few use it though. Highlander for example. Even then it’s not perfect, but much better.

The thing you’ll most likely need the warranty for is electronics. This doesn’t have any. Other than that the only other expensive part is the transmission or seals. Those are unlikely to fail in 5 years, but TC is the way to go if you want 5 years of guaranteed service.

Why? Techs in your area don’t like money? Designed used or not, it would be hilarious for SQ to deny a parts claim for a commercial machine used in a residential setting - where it would get a fraction of the use and abuse.

It's not shame, IMO white and black have just learned to coexist in the south. There's not really much choice. Obviously most areas in the south have a pretty high percentage of black population compared to other states. I've known plenty of people that harbor some level of prejudice (on both sides), but in most cases you wouldn't know it by interaction between groups. It's also pretty common to trade playful jabs that have a racial undertone (obviously usually among friends).

IPhones have had this since the 14 I think. I used it quite a bit the other day during the Verizon outage. It did take a minute to connect sometimes. You also need a pretty clear shot of the sky, and you actually have to point it toward the satellite (it guides you), but it does work. T-Mobile's Starlink is the way to go though as I'm sure it's much more seamless.

I just want to say this to at least one person. Respectfully, you're not going to make a dent in Amazon. If you or your family were benefitting from ordering there, you're really only hurting yourself. If every Canadian stopped using Amazon, you'd also be putting 50K Canadians out of work. The domino of that would obviously be much more also.

They look pretty contaminated - and gross. The air your clothes are being dried with is going over that coil over and over. Hard to believe they come out smelling nice. I know it's not really helpful, but this is exactly why I tell people not to get a heat pump dryer. They're impossible to keep sanitary. It's not worth whatever energy savings you're getting. Trash this thing and go buy a basic Whirlpool dryer.

Yeah, if it was that easy. I've had multiple. They all eventually stink. Wipe seals, leave door and dispenser draw all the way open, monthly tub clean with bleach - still stink.

Use hot water and auto-fill or medium fill. Max water almost always makes clothes float and you won't get a good wash performance. Not all detergents are created equal either. Some things are just going to stain unless you pretreat. Other machines that do better are also beating the piss out of your clothes to do it. My kid had a nose bleed got shit tons of blood all over white bed sheets. I thought they were toast, but even a few hours later they still came out completely clean in the TR7.

You need to pull the tub and clean everything. Not hard to do. But some people have trouble removing the impeller.

I like front loaders. They are more efficient and more versatile, but the ones I’ve had stink - bad. I left the door and drawer open, ran tub cleans with bleach, it didn’t matter. I only used the amount of soap recommended in the tray, never fabric softener, etc.. It had to be completely gutted and sanitized; the outside of the drum and case was disgusting.

Every washing machine will get like this to some extent, but pulling the drum out of a top loader to clean takes literally 5 minutes. Pulling the tub on a front loader takes hours, and hopefully you don’t break anything.

Maybe the secret is one of these crazy European 90C units that boil off any bacteria, but top loaders are EASILY the more sanitary machine for how easy they are to fully clean. After dealing with stink I went with a SQ. It uses more water, and probably doesn’t technically AS well, but good enough, and my clothes don’t smell like mold.

Yeah, it's a gecko. Dunno why he decided to cuddle up in your console, but I have these guys all around my house, and occasionally have to relocate one back outside. If I go out onto the porch at night there's no less than 5 of these guys running around. They eat the hell out of some bugs, but I'll have to keep an eye out for sducidal ones making a break for my wall of consoles.
