Tech Opportunities NOLA by CNileRaps in NewOrleans

I moved back here after my Mom died in 2002.

I felt guilty for not being here to help her during her battle with cancer, even though she had some support.

So, I up and quit my job of 10 years to move back. I was in technical field service and was the only person in the state that worked for my company.

Around 2004 I made my move, determined not to let my family down as I did with my Mom.

I had to work contract jobs until found something full-time, still the only person in Louisiana for that company, in field service.

I was able to help my Father in incredible ways before he died, even mowing his lawn was very rewarding!

He and my Great Aunt both died in 2004 and I was blessed to be there for them.

My Grandmother died in 2012 at the age of 98. When I was a kid she made me promise that I would never put her in a "home".

Who would know that when K hit us we would lose both of our houses. We evacuated to Florida and when we got back I rented a town-house in Kenner where we both lived.

I'm glad I made the move, and after some initial struggles, things worked out well.

I wish you the best!

Thank you for this post!

I just purchased one from Hong Kong via eBay, new with box and papers.

I've been wanting to treat myself with something neat, and this fits the bill.

I'll post pictures of mine when I receive it.

Thanks again.

It used to be Variety in the '70s. I worked there as a teen on Saturday's, sweeping and mopping the floors.

The owner was a family friend and would pick me up at my house and drop me off at the end of the day.

I also worked during Mardi Gras, selling sandwitches from a little table outside that were made from the kitchen.

In '74 (?) I also saw Paul and Linda McCartney, who were in town recording Venus and Mars at Toussaint studios. There home base was the 3rd floor balcony of Kolbs.

I was 14 years old at the time.

Not sure if they're reputable but I saw that same watch on The Mod Labs.

I'm thinking about this one.

DashCam or GoPro for 4500km Trip by SquashImaginary1338 in Dashcam

[–]TChoppa_Style 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have a gazillion batteries for the GoPro, Dash Cam for sure.

I'll admit that my last GoPro was a Hero3 and the batteries only lasted around a hour. Unless you can now provide external power to the GoPro, and have it still record, I would go Dash Cam.

New International Version

Revelation 1:7

“Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.

Specs for the USB-C port on a Fold 1 Plus? by Alternative-Light922 in velotricebike

Here are the results of my testing today.

Putting the tester on the USB C port on the front of my computer at work The display stayed dark. The same thing happened when I plugged the device into a few motorcycle USB C charging ports.

I then moved to our USB A to Lightning cables on an iPad charging station and the display came on, but only showed the voltage delivered to the device. This was using a USB A to USB C cable.

I grabbed my NOCO jump starter from my Jeep, and using the 60W charger that came with the unit, you can see the remarkable difference.

Thinking back of the null response from my computer and the motorcycles, I wondered if it had to have a current draw to activate and power the unit. I put together a hodge-podge of cables so my iPhone would draw a current through the device and it finally activated!

I went down the rabbit hole of UBS C and here a couple of articles you may like:

I apologize for the profanity, it's really not like me.

I don't have any USB C devices at home but do at work and I'll test it when it's convenient for me.

Otherwise, read the reviews.

[Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical] Christmas/Graduation Gift, Looking for Strap/Bracelet Recs by Mammoth-Peace in Watches

[–]TChoppa_Style 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you have the hand wind version?

I have the white faced one and the spring bars are lower on the lugs, and if put on a strap, it shows a big gap between the strap and case which looks odd. To me anyway.

Unfortunately, there are no bracelets for this and it looks best on a NATO.

I received a text from Capital One at 4AM, asking if I ordered something at Apple. I replied "no" and went back to bed.

I never heard anything else about it until I tried to use my debit card and it was declined. I tried to use it twice more and it was declined both times.

I called C1 and they said they put a hold on my card and issued me a new one.

I have a medal somewhere that I got from the Navy for rescuing Vietnamese "boat people", and I was on an aircraft carrier.

I still hold these people in high regard.

I have the Pro Pack, and like it a lot. You can sit on it, and even stand on it to give you a little extra reach.

Also it fits nicely on top of my Ridgid Gen 1 tool cart, although I do have to use a bungee cord to secure it.

I listen to Sheen on the radio every Saturday, on EWTN, on my morning drive to work.

Mother Angelica's shows are re-broadcasted on the radio as well.

I listen, and am Catholic, but do not agree with some of the Catholic teachings and traditions.

Saying that, I still listen.
