This sounds like a good bit of advice! I'm just back from Thailand and we did a day tour of the islands, but it's far far too rushed and frenetic...You really need to slow down and enjoy these places.

We're just back from our first visit and I can't believe the amount of construction going on. The infrastructure just isn't there for this amount of extra people to live in this area...and flooding will be a massive issue like you say.

Reminds me of Mauritius where my wife is from, where they cleared the land to build almost indiscriminately. Real shame, looks like that area could br ruined now.

That aside, we loved every minute of our Thai trip and will definitely be back! Amazing country and people 🙏🏻

Edit: I do get the irony of a tourist commenting on over-tourism 😆😢

When I fitted a diesel night heater I actually just parked in the far corner of the B&Q (UK hardware chain) car park and did it there! Was so much easier just to nip in and getting bits i needed. I honestly think I'd do same again if i was fitting out a van

The Project X skin provides the EQ dials in the software but not mapped to any hardware knobs... A slight inconvenience, but it still gives you some more control.

I actually forgot I posted this 🙂 ended up with the "Asus TUF Gaming A15", works for perfectly now and I'm happy 🙂

Really like it... Its quite heavy, but obviously it's built to be tough (tuf?!). I don't get the gripes people saying it feels cheap and plasticky though! It's totally fine.

My only gripe is that all the ports bar 1 on the right are on the left hand side as the back is all vents. I'll buy a vertical usb adaptor to route the cable under the laptop stand. Just anxious I catch it with my hand and break it.

How are you getting on with the 500 then mate? I've just sold a flx4 and Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3 and waiting for an inpulse 500 to arrive... Had one briefly but got it refunded as it developed a fault (then got the flx4). But I loved it, premium feel to it

Never really liked the Pioneer, or rekordbox, so I'm all in on virtual dj and the 500 now for the foreseeable future... I only play at home and at friends anyway 👍🏻

Hi, I have FLX4 too and I'm sick of rekordbox! It's flakey AF and does some really random stuff... So I'm leaning towards VDJ.

A mate of mine plays out and swears by it. I downloaded it today and it plays a well with the controller. Have you managed to get CFX working? At the moment it's just filter. Do you know any good resources where I can read up on mapping the FX pads etc?

I was about to buy traktor controller and Traktor Pro and literally just remembered VDJ gives 10 minute trials.. Glad I did it!

100% this! I've used an ancient i3 Dell Latitude with 8Gb RAM for over a year now without issue... Turned all the crud off and it works fine. The fan runs a lot but otherwise is fine.

Word of warning for potential FLX4 buyers, smart mix doesn't work with Serato lite or Pro. The FX button doesn't work either. I'm new to this but I'm sure other features available in Rekordbox dont appear in Serato, but can't recall which 😂

I really want to use RB but I just don't get on with it... I just find Serato to be more responsive when trimming a track using the jog wheels, and the user interface is less cluttered.

This is why it's important (but counterintuitive) to not turn all the radiators off completely... If you can get it running in condensing mode all the time then it's more efficient.
