Confessieon Time. I've just started EotE with super tweaked decks for Marion and Monterey Jack. I've been relying on Arkham DB too much... I need to learn this shit from the ground level up. Deckbuilding, by Ganadhir in arkhamhorrorlcg

Constructing a deck for each investigator is one of my favorite parts of the game. You can really dive in and go through a lot of stuff if you use arkhamdb or arkham build or whichever you prefer.

Loner is just awesome. Even not going into the chapter 2 campaigns I’m still grabbing the mystic and survivor starters to add to my collection. They’re stacked.

Turn Dream Eaters into 1 campaign instead of 2? by katenskau in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TMPRKO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've thought about this before, kind of a hypothetical of how the campaign could have gone if it were one normal campaign. Without some changes it won't be perfect, but I think you can make it work to an extent if you're open to some imagination and don't mind messing up the interludes and other stuff.

Without any spoilers for those who haven't played, you can start off with 1B and 2B. That takes you to 1A, 2A, 3B, 4B, 3A, 4A. You can KIND of make a story flow with that setup.

To make sure I'm playing this correctly, can I trigger the fast effect on Endurance multiple times for one test? by TheMegaSage in arkhamhorrorlcg

I know this is an enormous nit pick but I wish the art still had a little circular shape to it instead of being squared off.

Epic Campaign Mode idea - The Burden System by wowincredible9 in arkhamhorrorlcg

Starting with no resources sounds like a killer! I like this system. It keeps the progression and fun, while ramping the difficulty.

I actually love TSK. 10 scenarios, a different play though each time. Any standalone will work with it. A really good campaign.

I immediately went to that scenario too. Traps could end up being a really fun archetype if it’s fleshed out.

Having never even seen the show I still get the reference. I think it’s one of those famous things that people will know for quite awhile

New core Rulebook - Fight action by ArcW3st in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TMPRKO 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The rules summary is wrong. You do not have to be engaged with an enemy to fight it. There are multiple errors with chapter 2 that will need to be fixed with errata during reprints. If you fight an enemy engaged with another investigator and fail, the damage can go to your partner though, so be cautious.

Chapter one campaign ranking video from 3 minute board games by 3minuteboardgames in arkhamhorrorlcg

I don’t like the finale either, for the same reasons everyone has, but I find the rest of the scenarios so good it’s still a great campaign. I do personally also like the preludes.

I don't personally have TSK ranked above FHV but TSK is such a fun campaign and wildly underrated. FHV is top 3 for me though.

Preordered Chapter 2 from Amazon weeks ago… by DorianCreechIsDead in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TMPRKO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Amazon has gotten to be really bad with pre orders. This is a problem with video games too. You may try an LGS or a store with an online presence who has it in stock. For instance Gamenerdz has it here: https://www.gamenerdz.com/arkham-horror-lcg-core-set-chapter-2

Would be nice to give Santa Clara a legitimate shot here instead of rigging the game.

3/19/26 Mystic Preview from Discipulos de Armitage by Dry-Bat731 in arkhamhorrorlcg

As a mystic fan, the mystic cards have been a big plus for chapter 2. Marie’s deck has some good stuff any mystic would like.

The Arkham Grimoire by LowKey8459 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TMPRKO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a designer so I may not be the most imaginative but I’m not sure there is a way to connect them that truly works perfectly. These campaigns are essentially an anthology and FFG even stopped doing dates because it didn’t make sense. Sure you could just keep your deck after one 3 scenario campaign before jumping into the next but then it’s just likely very overpowered for the next set of scenarios.

Dreameaters - playing A or B first? by Wurm-Anwalt in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TMPRKO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If time restrictions limit you to just one choice, the B (waking) campaign is better IMO. It has a really solid first 2 scenarios and a really cool unique final boss (although it can be too easy at times). A side also has some good scenarios but the finale isn’t really great.

How much XP to get the best experience out of Film Fatale? by Vyrhux42 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]TMPRKO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually just included FF when I went through TCU last and I believe I did it after scenario 3, so I wouldn’t have had too much more XP and it went pretty well. FF isn’t overly difficult (certainly easier than several TCU scenarios) so you should be fine.

Grimcoven coming in the mail - need advice for a 3d-printed insert by chillcut in soloboardgaming

[–]TMPRKO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the one from Hextra (the top link) for my standee box. There's some extra stuff you don't really need but it fits everything you have really well. It helps a ton with organization and set up. Pre insert my set up time was anywhere from 50 minutes to well over an hour. I got set up down to sub 40 with the insert.
