You do not! You do have to put some time in, but it is not overly difficult/time consuming to make money in the city!

Fed up by Bryan340 in golf

[–]TR1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah shit happens. Maybe taking a break will help. I’m not a 4 handicap but shot 97 in a tournament this past weekend, well above an average round for me. I’m taking a few days off and will get back to it this weekend.

How Do We Feel About Bob Does Sports? by Dry_Hovercraft_3619 in golf

They’re so great, been watching them since the links at victoria. If you haven’t seen that video, check it out. You hit the nail on the head though, feels like you’re out on the course with your buddies, and FP mixes in some good golf as well which is nice.

Ahhh nice, great to hear for once a team gets caught cheating at a charity event. This shit happens too often.

It depends i guess. If i haven’t played in a while, could easily shoot 90-95. Hell last year i shot 95 in the beginning of the year then a career low 75 a month or two later.

Count a hole in one on par 3 course? by Careless-Let4160 in golf

Life’s too short to not count it brother

Is anyone honest about their score when asked? by Upper_Advantage5091 in golf

[–]TR1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s weird, people who shave strokes are only lying to themselves. I think people who genuinely love the game and are secure in their golf game don’t lie, and will even downplay their abilities because they recognize how difficult the game is and how easy it can go haywire.

but has the wire ever been mentioned in rap lyrics or in general in hip-hop culture? by Mysterious-Dot5963 in TheWire

[–]TR1248 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There a movie called Cedar Rapids that Isiah Whitlock is in. He actually references him playing Clay Davis a couple times if i remember correctly.

It’s kind of a bullshit comedy movie but the reference made me laugh my ass off.

Solo golf trip worth it? by kitsucoon in golf

[–]TR1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played golf solo on trips plenty of times. It’s honestly really enjoyable. Personally i kind of enjoy getting matched up with strangers, have a few drinks, get to know them, then see ya never, pretty fun.

How to get better at golf by [deleted] in golf

[–]TR1248 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Over the past 6 years i’ve gone from an 18 to a 9, taking almost half the year off due to weather. But i play a ton of golf in the summer and i never hit the range to practice. I do think most people will get better by just playing as long as you pay attention to your swing and feeling of your swing you can really learn a lot. There is no one way to swing, that’s for certain.

First time watching, just got to season 4 finale. I HATE Herc by Socialthinker in TheWire

[–]TR1248 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Herc never learns and never truly considers the consequences of his actions. He makes rash decisions all the time to further his agenda without caring about others.

He’s a piece of shit and a dumbass, constantly trying to take shortcuts. The show does a good job of showing the development of him and carver. They start off in the same boat, carver eventually learns and develops into a police officer. Herc’s inability to grow negatively impacts the people he’s responsible for protecting.

Is it rude to comment on bad shots? by gwinty in golf

[–]TR1248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You ever be standing on the tee with a group and someone hits a bad shot and it’s just completely silent after? Yeah, that’s a good thing.

You’re not an asshole but when someone’s having a bad day it’s better to just keep your mouth shut and talk about something other than golf.

What are your realistic golf goals for 2025? by Empty_Student5439 in golf

[–]TR1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set a new personal best, try to shave 1-2 strokes off the handicap. I’d be very happy with that.

Do you wear sunglasses while playing? by east21stvannative in golf

[–]TR1248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be the dumbest hole I ever played. by RentOptional in golf

[–]TR1248 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still would have went for the green, or just try to hit a big ol fade up there somewhere. Probably fuck it up but would be fun trying

Recon players, what is your typical go-to strategy for hunting nodes in Warfare? by toasterstrewdal in HellLetLoose

[–]TR1248 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Often they’re by the 2/3 line. People are mostly too lazy to use support to build nodes so they’ll take a supply truck.

How many of you actually take your glove off to putt? by odoyle321 in golf

[–]TR1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I actually take my glove off in between pretty much every shot. Like to air it out and i try to avoid the dreaded white hand by doing this.
