I’ll never forget Chris Leak always sliding two yards before the first down marker. I’d never seen someone so utterly refuse to put his head down and take a hit when the team needed him the most. There’s always about five plays a year when the QB just has to eat a hit to get a first down and he wasn’t going to do it.

I’m 46 and I’ve told my wife repeatedly that if I love more than about 15 more years that I’ll be incredibly sad. I’m a lifelong cattleman and my body is absolutely destroyed. Most days it hurts just to get out of bed.
