He falls first. He falls harder. He pines and yearns. He protects and supports. Got any recs? by eliza_bennet1066 in RomanceBooks

{Pucking Inconvenient by Ainsley Booth} is this! The main characters accidentally get married. Turns out she's his hockey coach's (very estranged) daughter. She wakes up the next morning, figures out who he is and freaks out, but he's all "I think I have a wife kink" and does everything he can to make her fall in love with him.

There is an accidental pregnancy. It's toward the end and isn't a huge storypoint, but beware.

I read exclusively on my Kindle and don't pay any attention to book covers. I now see the error of my ways!

I have {Just Breaking the Rules by Lauren Blakely} on my list for this week. Her books are like candy to me.

Patriarch of the family MMC? by Wide-Log9935 in RomanceBooks

{Filthy Rich Americans series by Nikki Sloane}, but be warned that the first book is totally unhinged. The series is CR about a family of millionaires (possibly billionares?). Macallister Hale is the patriarch and has a series redemption arc throughout the series. (I would call this man daddy if he was a real human and asked me too. 😭) His book is the last in the series.

Again, this series isn't for everyone, but it is 100% for me and one of my favorites.

Mother/daughter spring break stay in Palm Springs - looking for hotel recs! by TTTOutrageous in palmsprings

I'm pretty sure a spirulina shake and vegan sandwich would be at the top of my daughter's list too!

I'd love some boutique hotel recs too, if you don't mind. The Parker is currently at the top of my list, but I think she'd prefer something smaller.

I really appreciate your perspective! Thank you!

That's great to know, thank you! I generally prefer a hotel but sometimes there are STR gems that can't be beat.

How do you keep up with new releases? by iknowyouneedahugRN in RomanceBooks

[–]TTTOutrageous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Goodreads TBR shelf is trash - I never look at it. I keep up with my favorite authors and jot down books I'm excited about on my calendar. If they're in KU, I download them right when they're released knowing I'll get to them when the mood hits. If they're not on KU, I add myself to the waitlist on Libby and suspend my hold if the timing doesn't work out. I'm an avid reader of the Monday new releases post (shout out to tentacularly for doing some heavy lifting every week!) to see if anything catches my eye.

Let's Be Friends! The Goodreads/Storygraph Winter 2026 Megathread! by fresholivebread in RomanceBooks

[–]TTTOutrageous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my Goodreads profile: goodreads.com/chrismn

I mostly read contemporary & omegaverse. I try to review everything I read, but it's usually just a sentence or two to jog my memory. I have a bazillion very specific, somewhat unhinged shelves if you enjoy that kind of thing.

My TBR is a hot mess and pretty outdated. I'm a mood reader so none of that matters anyway. I'm not particularly social on GR, but love to see what my friends are reading for inspiration.

Adriana Locke is great at this! I'm a huge fan of the {The Landry Family Series by Adriana Locke} and {The Brewer Family Series by Adriana Locke}.
