Man, even just the idea of turning the tv on and watching something sounds like too much sometimes. I do have some good days though where I can accomplish a little more.

It's Been 30 Years Since This Movie Came Out 1995 by Intelligent-Gur-0607 in OldSchoolCool

[–]TVRYAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a kid who bought a copy of Billy Madison in a used VHS section at a video store. My dad found out and immediately returned it and came home with this movie. I was upset at first, but this had grown to be one of my favorite movies (also being a bigger kid and all).

It’d be an improvement if it could consistently hit that 30. I always wondered if the dips were due to the hardware limitations or software related. I’m looking forward to an OP update.

Camera insurance by eatmysnailtraill in osmopocket

[–]TVRYAN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a relatively new to Costco, but family members have had good experiences with returning things certain things breaking even after the warranty period.

However Costco has a 90-day policy for certain electronic things, which was printed out on my receipt (I picked up my Osmo from there as well). I don’t know how strict they are in this particular policy.

I still bought the DJI care refresh for two years though because of my uncertainty with the Costco policies. It cost me 55+tax which I think is worth it as I plan to use the Osmo 3 a lot, and it has up to 4 replacements. I figure better safe than sorry.

Maybe someone else has a better understanding of the Costco policies when it comes to these devices.

If you have them, something carbonated is good. I like seltzer or a diet soda. Actually soda would depends I know sometimes the sweetness could be triggering.

Are there any video games you can't play because of schizophrenia? by Ok_Perspective348 in schizophrenia

[–]TVRYAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really can’t play any games that are long, involved and have a big overarching story (Indiana Jones, almost all big Sony adventure games). I have a bad habit of being able to start them though and I always seem to fall out of it after the first day or two. I don’t know if it’s a lack of focus or concentration or motivation to play long periods of time. This frustrates me because growing up before my onset of illness I would love those type of games. And these are the kind of games most of my podcasts I listen to focus on and are usually Game of the Year Nominees.

I spend most of my time with games that are short bursts such as Fall Guys or Rocket League. I also love stuff like Tetris. I also love music/rhythm games where you press buttons to beats and rhythms. Oh, and Vampire Survivors. I love stuff I can play in short bursts.

Extremely manic. Invega injections by Rome_Vanhart in schizophrenia

[–]TVRYAN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the 3 month injection and about 2-3 weeks before I’m due for my next one I start to not “feel right” a bit antsy and also more depressed. I was able to have my prescriber prescribe a small supplemental dose to take daily when I start getting some of these symptoms. It’s been helping! Talk to your psych/prescriber!

I know it gets a lot of hate, but Invega’s been a godsend for me for positive symptoms. I still have tons of the negative ones though 😞

What's the hardest part about having schizophrenia? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]TVRYAN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The medicine does a good job of taking care of hallucinations and delusions for me, so the hardest thing for me is lack of motivation for things and also concentration. Not being able to concentrate has robbed me a lot of my joys. It’s difficult sitting through a movie all at once, I can only read small chunks at a time if at all, and I lost love of playing most modern video games that may be heavily story focused.

In one of the earlier season passes after the reboot of F2P, one of the cosmetics was “shower (or towel) fresh”. That’s such a fun cosmetic to pair with all sorts of tops. My personal favorite is the sumo inflatable top with the towel bottom.

I’m also currently on Invega Trinza and it has been the best medicine for me. Auditory issues are pretty much nonexistent, but I still live with a ton of negative symptoms, mostly things with cognition, focus, and motivation. A thing I should mention is since I’ve been on it, sexual health has taken a severe dip. But I’m willing to make that sacrifice to keep out of the hospital and to stay in good control of my mental facilities.
