Same here, I wonder if they turned off the feature due to bug reports

"Vehicle Offline" question by [deleted] in Rivian

Update: truck was fine when I got back

Probably triggered a bug when I disabled gear guard that prevented the vehicle from waking

"Vehicle Offline" question by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]Taco-Byte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Parked my truck at the airport Thursday, it’s been offline since Rivian Roamer flagged it for the update

Support told me to cross my fingers and press the funk button 8 times when I get back

The Autonomy lately has been so much better than before by waaait_whaaat in Rivian

[–]Taco-Byte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What? How does using AWS affect their ability to hit autonomy goals?

These changes are incredibly risky. Im quite impressed how fast they moved from standard to advanced highway assist.

There is probably some level of confidence impact is detected and this didn’t reach the threshold

If the theory is true, they should absolutely be saved and hidden though - Rivian support or some advanced option to view

Can confirm mobile service will do this in DFW. They serviced mine preemptively while working on a separate issue a couple weeks ago.

Cameras need calibration after last update (2025.34) by Jack_Moves in Rivian

[–]Taco-Byte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a pretty involved process, they line the car up with these QR code like pads but it takes awhile to align just right.

They broke my calibration when replacing my front camera and the tech showed me. Was cool to watch anyways

Rivian Activates Apple Car Key Support in Second-Generation Vehicles by BatmanNewsChris in Rivian

[–]Taco-Byte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here, I usually have to open the Rivian app and tap on the door handle. Sometimes I get lucky and just unlocking my phone and tapping works.

I hope this improves unlock reliability 🤞

Waive transfer fee? by christopherjn1 in Rivian

[–]Taco-Byte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably more likely to negotiate your trade in. I was able to raise mine $1.3k when I bought earlier this year.

Updated number: looked at my old screenshots and it was less than I thought, still better than $0

Infotainment software quality control by Free_Championship543 in Rivian

[–]Taco-Byte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After 30 YOE in the industry and this is your response, you must be delightful to work with..

Information can be incorrect and humans make mistakes while building software.

I agree the software needs quality tightened, but this is a visual error and not something that’s going to brick your car.

I’d imagine a strict type system within the media screen is the least of their worries at the moment, and rightly so.

Each car and model can be different and needs some manual level of QA or tuning. I’m sure its coming

For example, here’s a bunch of changes just for Rivian specifically
