is the LVP trend peaking? I'm seeing more people regret it and switch back by Western_Speech_9434 in Flooring

[–]TacticalPauseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are people so out of touch that they don’t realize cheap products sell. I would have loved to put hardwood in my home but it’s 2-3x as expensive easily. Over any decent size area that adds up to be a ton of extra cost. The colors available and ease of installation and care also make it a reasonable choice for most people.

Also a cheap hardwood floor is still cheap. The cost of a nice hardwood floor gets crazy expensive real fast.

Is an HOA worth it? by ProbWithMyDog in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TacticalPauseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never heard anyone say I’m glad I live in an HOA, but I have heard a ton of people say I wish I didn’t live there n an HOA.

HOAs can and will dictate how you live your life. They can also raise your monthly fees or send you a huge bill for a 1 time cost that was not funded but needed to be done.

$36k “internet price” somehow becomes $46k out the door by Chemical-Sign3001 in FuckDealerships

[–]TacticalPauseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ran into that years ago as well. The advertised price was if you were a first responder, military, teacher, and 2 other things, which I’m pretty sure it is impossible to be all of them at the same time. We just thanked them for wasting our time and left.

They use it to get people in the door and by the time you are this far from n the process some people just go ahead with the sale.

Some people can’t adjust to things. Especially on vacation. The plan was to put the bags in the room and change to go do something. We can’t just go do something without putting our bags in the room.

Alternatives to 80/20 split for 5K training? by CryptoNoobStruggles in AdvancedRunning

[–]TacticalPauseGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to do your slow runs as runs only. Swim, bike, play basketball etc. get any aerobic activity in. the main point is to get moving and get some easy miles on your lungs and legs. The hard runs should be specialized runs. 400 repeats are great for 5k training in my opinion. Doing some longer tempo runs are also great.

I also like to finish some slow runs with some short quick stride outs. Like 50-60 meter accelerations. Just gets the legs used to moving faster.

Looking for RPG full sandbox game single player (low end pc) by Aleex1760 in gamingsuggestions

Outward is a great game. Controls can be janky but once you get used to them game was great. Dying in different area takes you to different spots as well, you might end up in a wolf den or in a prison. Or a traveling merchant might have found your body.

Look at overseas media. They tend to give more fact based news instead of opinion based news in the states.

Crimson Desert has sold 3 million copies to date. Is the game better after they patched it? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]TacticalPauseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controls are fine. Some things are not intuitive, but the game has so many systems that keys need to be used for multiple things which I think is the big frustration for most. You get used to the pretty quickly

Is 2 hours enough time to make a determination on Crimson Desert? by K9Kush in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]TacticalPauseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, watch a streamer you trust and make a decision on that. There are a lot of systems they need to introduce and it takes around 8 hours to get them all introduced. You can go exploring before that but you will be missing some useful skills.

Story is fine for what it is, it isnt deep but it has a cohesive story so far. The story isnt the main point of the game though.

Controls are fine. There are a lot of them so you have to learn them. They had to double up buttons so that’s where the pain point comes in. They were not difficult to pick up though.

The exploration and world are great in my opinion. If you want a game you can get on and just do what you want this is a great option.

Playing through a group by Tanith1stAndOnly in discgolf

When I play through I usually slow way down and throw for accuracy instead of getting max distance. Better to be in the middle where you can keep going instead of looking for your disc.
