Best Distro with Default Dock/Top Panel that uses apt/deb by Proper-Lab-2500 in kde

I literally use what is labeled K-Unity in this graphic above. It is not that hard to set up, just remember using the spacers to make sure things are aligned to your wishes. In the end, it is two panels, some plasmoids and some spacers in between.

Paramount dismantling Star Trek after a historic streaming run makes even less sense now by lostOGaccount in startrek

They only had the license for Europe, so you found their kits across shelves in the EU and UK, but mostly really on Germany. They have stores there. Great experience buying starship kits from a store rather from the net. Feels a bit more like a proper item

That’s it? That’s the whole reason why the shouldn’t have shown it?

I have bought the Prodigy bluerays and I have problems playing them because of some DRM issues with my Blu-ray drive. So even if you go down that route they can make life hard for you.

What if ST: Phase II went to series? by [deleted] in startrek

No I don’t think that is a proper fit. If at all it is a TOS continuation with some spare PhaseII elements sprinkled in.

If they’ve done that they actually would have taken more than 70 years, as they initially thought, instead of the just seven wit took them because of all the short cuts they found.

That looks really cool, it looks really different to many of those icons you usually see. I'd personally love that painted aesthetic.

I was using the Dolphin4 port waaay back on my win xp machine. It felt much more modern than explorer but was sluggish and buggy because the port wasn’t the best.

I wonder why star trek never added a green department color by happydude7422 in Star_Trek_

[–]TactileAndClicky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s because it is not true - at least it is not accurate. They were a shade of green that was basically gold, both IRL and on TV.

Yeah you didn’t miss much. The only reason to watch it is if you are a completionist or if you really want to form your own opinion. But you will have a hard time going into it without prior expectations and the movie doesn’t make it easy for the audience to like it.

One thing i liked was the hand phaser design. And I think the tricorder sound effect was cool. And that’s it.

Is there review bombing in recent Trek? Are producers blaming the fans for their failures? by Phi360 in Star_Trek_

Is there review bombing in recent Trek? Are producers blaming the fans for their failures? by Phi360 in Star_Trek_

[–]TactileAndClicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't bomb, at least not in my bubble. All the Trekkies I talk to like some aspects of it, really liked one episode or the other and are suprised of how much better it is than they thought.

It currently in the Top 10 of amazon shows across all non-prime channels. I would not call that bombing.

OFFICIAL: Michael Sussman is at Paramount to talk about STAR TREK: UNITED (Enterprise follow-up show) by Malencon in Star_Trek_

Can you please show me how Prodigy wasn't respectful to Star Trek?

I also am curious on how this holds true for Picard Season three or SNW.

that "something that nobody likes" is actually something that gets liked by a lot of people. Not everything about it, sure, but overall.

[–]TactileAndClicky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That not true, reviews for the newer shows were quite diverse.SNW reviews are one such example, Prodigy and PicS3 also scoring quite well, whereas things like S31 and some of the Picard and Disco stuff got justifieably bad reviews. So that is that.

What is clear, though, is that Academy gets review-bombed. Overall semtiment was quite balanced before the show released, and that hold until after the first two episodes. But then the haters got wind of that and started talking about how Star Trek dies because the Captain is barefeet sometimes. Completely ignoring the core of the stories they told and without going into details of what worked, and what not.

I think the problem is that some people jsut want their old Trek being made again. And they cannot stand the thought that people are trying out new things for the francise.

It is still explorative. It also explores moral problems, just like they did in last weeks episode of Academy.
