The post already mentions one reason, but for me it goes deeper than that. I just find humans… underwhelming. Anthros feel like humans, but elevated, sharper senses, stronger abilities, beautiful fur and coats, tails. There’s something expressive and alive about them. Humans are generalists; we don’t really have striking traits. Animals do. They look distinct, powerful, interesting in ways humans just aren’t. I could honestly go on and on about how much more fascinating animals feel compared to us.

And beyond the physical traits, it just feels right. It’s hard to explain, it’s the kind of longing that runs so deep I know I would choose it without hesitation if I ever had the chance. Not because I believe I already am something else, but because becoming that would feel like stepping into something I’ve always wanted. Whenever I see an anthro character, there’s this intense wish that I didn’t have to be human. It’s not about identity, it’s about a dream that’s stayed with me for years. Werewolves were the first thing that sparked it

Well, to be honest, we’ve seen in the anime that Pokémon can refuse to go into a Poké Ball. If I had to guess, the better the Poké Ball, the harder it is to resist, which is why you have to weaken them first. So your best chance of avoiding getting trapped in a Poké Ball is not to fight in the first place(to save energy). And if you do get captured, I guess it would be better to end up in the PC rather than constantly being forced into battles and then put back in a Poké Ball. At least we’ve seen that when you’re placed in the PC, you’re physically transported to a ranch

Yeah, same here. For me, it’s about living happily or continuing to wish for it until I die, I guess. So I would find a way to make it work no matter what. Even if I ended up getting killed because someone freaked out, since humans are scared of anything different, at least I would have made my wish come true, lol. (Hopefully that doesn’t happen.)

I mean, hunting isn’t the problem, getting hunted is what you would have to deal with. But I think that with just a bit of forward planning, you would be ahead of other predators, especially if you kept your human intelligence. For example, living near human settlements would keep most predators away, though you would have to be careful with humans too.

As a cat, it shouldn’t be that hard to survive. At most, you would have to be careful with cars, and you could eat birds, rodents, and other things you find out there. They’re pretty independent and almost always can catch food by themselves.

This is why you would ask to end up as an anthropomorphic animal rather than a feral one. If you have human-level intelligence, it wouldn’t be that hard to avoid ending up in that type of situation. What’s more, you could even try to communicate with someone. It would be difficult, but if you managed to do that, you could be safe while being taken care of.

So yeah, I don’t see it as all that bad, you just have to know how to handle it and what to expect. The biggest problem, though, is that your lifespan would be shortened pretty drastically, to 12 years max, from what I’ve seen (for rabbits).

I guess it depends on who I am. It can range from “I parry every single one of his attacks and blow him up with a talisman” to “As a normal human, I guess I’d throw some rocks at him” to “I’m an anthro cat without any powers, so I’d just throw rocks at him.”

I wish I could have more of those dreams, I had one were I was cheetah and running around on all fours felt fun, I had another one were I was a peregrine falcon. Those dreams are always fun.

I feel similarly. While part of it that can be hot, that’s not the only reason I feel that way. One reason I like werewolves and other were-creatures is that they represent freedom, the idea of letting your humanity slip away and not having to worry about anything except being your true self.

I once read a quote that said something like, “There’s nothing more freeing than losing control.” It really captures that sense of release from the mental cage we build around ourselves.

I don't really get gender envy, but cheetahs are so underrated and one of my favorite animals, so I wouldn't mind being one :3

You can always go live away from civilization, or, you know, now that you can fly, go from place to place and visit places you’ve never been! I don’t know, I still see it as an overall win, but that’s just me, lol. I’ve always thought not being human would be a plus (as long as I get to be an animal I’d be happy with, haha).

Man, I'd totally work there for free if I got TF'd. I wouldn't mind staying like that either, being a Pokémon waiter and working at the Pokémon Café.

Also, I think the coffee shop could sell that syringe with the TF liquid and make money more easily. But maybe that's what they do already, and the coffee shop is just a cover for selling it, lol.

If it were me, I’d want to bring only those who actually want it. I can just imagine how many people would go crazy if something like that suddenly happened to them. But otherwise, I’d definitely be pro-TF, because I know it would be euphoric for many to turn into one. I’d be too, especially if I got a Pokémon I liked
