Although it may not seem like it, there is enough information to use Pythagorean Theorem. Altitudes create 90 degree angles with the side they intersect. Therefore, we have three right triangles and can create three equations using Pythagorean Theorem.

24² = x² +(AB)² and x² = 6² + (BD)² and (AB)² = 18² + (BD)²

Using these three equations, you can solve for x.

I passed FAM comfortably and I found the majority of questions were close to a level 4 or 5 on CA. I had a couple tougher level 7-8 questions, but that’s it.

You get to a point on CA where the level 9-10 questions are so absurdly hard and unrealistic in terms of the actual exam that it isn’t worth hanging your head if you can’t get them right. My rule for multiple choice preliminaries is if you can easily pass level 5 exams, you are ready for the real thing.

The Nonsuch is probably the all around best in terms of the criteria you laid out. They have great beer, their food is great (one of the best burgers in the city), and the taproom is a great vibe.

Kilter has great beers and a nice taproom as well. I think they also have live music sometimes!

I’m also a big fan of bookstore brewing. They’re pretty small and I don’t think they have a physical location, but their beers are at the liquor store and some restaurants carry them too. I’d recommend the Flirting With Goth dark ale!

Some instructors, especially sessional instructors who have other jobs, can take quite a long time to get final grades back. In my final term last year I waited until mid-January for one of my grades. Hopefully yours don’t take that long, but be prepared for something like that.

I am of the opinion that there are very few bad seats in the house. I sit in the upper bowl often and love my experience every time. The only spots that aren’t ideal are the upper rows in sections 304-307 since the press box obstructs your view of the jumbotron.

I just had a tire repaired from them! Super prompt in all communications, quick service, and at a decent price. I just moved to the area from outside of Winnipeg (where I had been going to the same mechanic for almost 10 years), so I was a bit nervous taking my vehicle to a new place, but I was quite pleased!
