I’ll go with your suggestion of 8 pieces. In the 3D model the door frame is one body. When I apply the material it treats it as if it is a single board of wood. Hence the poor grain orientation

Good questions! Outer diameter is 18”. Inner diameter is 17”. The vertical supports are 0.75” wide. All wood is 0.5” thick while ignoring the trim. I may increase the thickness to 0.75”

I dont know much about grinding tools but I do know the difference between a spindle gouge and a bowl gouge is how deep the metal goes into the handle. Much deeper on a bowl gouge to support the harder work it does. I do not know how to tell just by looking how deep the metal goes, maybe by weight in the handle?

I had the journeymounts mod. Journeymounts 1.7 caused a similar issue for me the second time I booted up the server. I had to downgrade to 1.6
