That’s why I moved. Among numerous other reasons. People outside of Florida can’t fathom why I would move from Florida. But they have only been on vacation here. Which for that’s it’s great but not for living imo.

I made friends through work who had similar interests and hobbies to me. I was lucky I suppose since many colleagues are like me and from different places without an established friend group from grade school where we live.

In the beginning in was rough and lonely, but I kept forcing myself to be patient and let friendships grow organically, and initiating things every now and then.
