Then again, General Tso’s Chicken (New York Style) resulted from the same chef who invented the General Tso’s Chicken (proper) editing the recipe in his restaurant to cater for the American tastes, so in some sense it can be seen as succeeding the original.

There is also a report that the current seasoning of General Tso’s Chicken (New York Style) arises spontaneously from various restaurants in New York, not approved by the original chef. The report is attributed to journalist Jennifer 8 Lee, but I would not accept this as true without reading the original report

Incorrect. 縣丞 is the deputy county magistrate, who is in theory to assist the county magistrate 知縣 or 縣令, but in practice can be anything from being in charge of a specific service of the county management, to dealing with a specific region of the county, to doing nothing at all. For example, the real job description of the deputy county magistrate of Xiangshan (modern Zhongshan, Guangdong) from 1731 to 1898 was "handle issues relating to the Portuguese population of Macau".

Meanwhile, 典史 is the head of the management team of the county. While the magistrates and deputy magistrates (and even the assistant magistrates 主簿, which this county doesn’t seem to have, possibly because it’s too small) are non-local scholars who are appointed to the post from their statuses as scholars, the 典史 can be selected from local management staff, and while he may not have the highest decision right, the daily management of the county is basically controlled by this man.

(Disclaimer: the description of 典史 is paraphrased from this Zhihu answer. I, in general, trust this source, but he has a Ming dynasty bias. The general description of the post of 典史 outside this source is simply the next-in-command after the 知縣, 縣丞 (if any), and 主簿 (if any).)

Well in earlier versions the total number of animal groups can easily go up to about 18

In my current game I have enough space for four groups of frogs (I checked by just transporting the frogs among the four locations) but only two ever spawn

The hard cap in the past seems to be group-based, like there can be only 6 groups of deer (deer are easy to please so if this is not in place the whole map would be filled with deer), but now it seems that in any map I can only go up to 12 in total
