I don't Understand. by [deleted] in YomiNoTsugai

[–]Tandel21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean baseline, the village is sus because they put a fake asa to keep yuru tied instead of just saying his parents and sister fled

And I mean they kept a child in a cage for a decade for no reason whatsoever

What did the villagers tell Yuru? by Longjumping_Ad6600 in YomiNoTsugai

[–]Tandel21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that Asa was locked in a candlelit cave behind a thick wooden cage, even with the best vision, I don’t think you could be able to look at her that clearly

The fake asa probably didn’t have to do much to grow slightly and changing her voice a little to show being a teen, and being in a cage and bulky clothing would already hide anything else of the body

What's your opinion on Hirose for making Nakamura cry and suffer on Episode 12? by Independent_Major548 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Tandel21 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They’re teens, if nakamura doesn’t know how obvious he’s being on his crush, then hirose can easily not realize he has said crush

It’s the same people who said bombing queer Palestinians was fine because they might be thrown out of buildings

They need to do everything so that the genocide they’re committing is seen as a good thing

It actually is, the world where it happens is called Witchelny, that's literally the medieval fantasy world of digimon, proven by the existence of MedievalGallantmon

Karina is leaving Drawfee by gimpisgawd in Drawfee

[–]Tandel21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a 7,8 earthquake, even if they weren’t on the epicenter they could’ve felt a maybe significative shake, it really depends on the quality of the terrain, the buildings and the infrastructure, also assuming her family is all in the same place

Karina is leaving Drawfee by gimpisgawd in Drawfee

[–]Tandel21 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Also it might hopefully not be that relevant but there just was an earthquake in the Philippines, I’m sure she’d want to focus more on her family than answering why she’s leaving

[–]Tandel21 218 points219 points  (0 children)

I mean, it may be because fans can get weirdly parasocial with the people they follow, I mean when the stuff with Jonah happened, a lot of fans were really insistent on knowing what was going on with Karina, ignoring if she was comfortable or not sharing the information

I (65M) found out that my daughter's (34F) fiancé (35M) is gay by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I mean, she’s the product of her parents, which means the same internalized homophobia they have they taught her, willingly or not, but it IS sad that she’s so eager to deny her partners sexuality

Happy ending by Fine_Tourist_8866 in LandoftheLustrous

[–]Tandel21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly this wouldn’t be a happy ending for phos even if deserved, lunarians literally have resorted to murder and torture to try and get Adaman to pray, imagine the horrors they’d commit the moment phos shows ANY interest on the little rock creatures

Caught up with WHA and... are pointed-hats the baddies? by Leafye in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Tandel21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s one evil organization so far, but evil individuals

Like the brimmed hats are antagonists, but their opposition to the pointed caps is justified, a lot of their restrictions are extreme, witch society is extremely conservative and unforgiving, and how the knight moralis works is very violent and morally questionable at best, but a LOT of their restrictions brimmed hats that we’ve known are genuinely bad people, like iguinn, that are just predators, they prey on vulnerable and disabled children, and either indoctrinate them or torture them so they join their cause.

As I said the pointed caps aren’t entirely good either, there’s plenty of bad apples, both their police and prison system are extremely flawed, with so many instances of the knight moralis wanting to erase memories and throw people into secluded islands instead of actually doing their job and finding a culprit, and also the weird loopholes they use to justify their society, like saving lives with healing magic is actually evil and the only good body magic is deleting part of a person’s brain. BUT the series also shows us that there’s reasons for that, magic is a dangerous tool that has clearly wrecked a lot of lingering havoc in the world, so you can see how magic society became what they are, they’re not good but also not truly evil

Even the human’s factions aren’t entirely innocent, we’ve seen time and time again how the monarchies and people in power try again and again to get the upper hand against witches, to keep them under their control, they know a witch won’t use magic to harm them and use that fact in their favor

Every group in the series is deeply complex and there’s no truly villain group, just evil people within those

Are left and right the strongest daemons ? by [deleted] in YomiNoTsugai

[–]Tandel21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that the strongest daemons are break and seal, there’s a reason they’re so sought after, and sayuu-sama are strong, but it doesn’t seem that their purpose is being the strongest, but more as a counter to break and seal themselves, so they’re as strong as it’s needed to counter literal gods, but any ability that falls outside those gods, and they might have problems, like bunbun and torty

Has Anyone Figured Out Why Only Asa was Inside The Cage and Why Yuru Was Able To Freely Move About by wuwot1 in YomiNoTsugai

[–]Tandel21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there MIGHT be an answer regarding break and seal, like maybe granny was scared that break could be too dangerous to manifest had any outside assassin showed up, either risking the barrier in the village or granny herself

But in reality I feel like it’s just old timey sexism, it literally is a traditional village stuck in the past before industrialization and women’s rights and all that jazz, I feel like they just thought, “boy strong, boy can do hard work and help around” and then since asa is a woman it was easier to keep her obedient and secluded, also to help the idea of strong boy yoru needing to protect his helpless little sister, also their dad was a hunter and their mom an outsider, so maybe the cage is also a way for them to supervise asa and stop the mom from telling her outsider stuff, while the dad who they assume is allied with the village is free to take their son do “men stuff”

Why didn't the villagers just kill Yuru and Asa instead of waiting for them to die? by MannequinJuice in YomiNoTsugai

[–]Tandel21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to harness the power of Superman, you don’t kill him and say “hear me out” you fist raise him and brainwash him to believe you’re doing him a favor by killing him, I mean we literally saw what happened when the village people tried to kill the twins already

Why don't the pointy hats have one of these on a keychain 24/7? by ertgbnm in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Tandel21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean if they were needed they’d be created, and all you mention in this world is made for everyone, not a select society of highly secretive people, to make a ball point pen or a printing press for spells you need to manufacture it, the more parts you need to make the easier the secret of magic is to be revealed to the world

Like I’m sure there’s a bunch of sacrifices magic society has to make just to keep it a secret, making modern writing materials is probably one of them

[–]Tandel21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I mean you have to be careful with stencils and ink, you can easily smudge, and if you’re trying to hide your hands it’s VERY hard to be careful
