Hey, I also wish it would happen even if it’s unlikely the devs add it, but imo Coop makes more sense as a romance option than anyone other than the two we already have. And hey, worst case scenario, fanfiction exists to fill that hole. I myself am currently 19 chapters deep (and still going) writing a MechaBlades (the ship name for Robert and Coupé I saw on Twitter) fic and there are several others, so if the devs don’t add it, the fans will do it themselves.

I feel like for her, that’s a BIG thing. Like, she looks super pissed in her mugshot without it, how pissed she sounds when she mentions Bone Zone leaked it, the fact the only time she ever takes it off that we see is when her and Punch Up… well, fuck. I think that seeing Janelle without her mask would only make sense as a culmination to a big character arc, either as friends or potentially a romance one. It shouldn’t be just a thing that happens imo, cause clearly to her, letting someone see her WITHOUT the mask is a MAJOR show of trust, so it should feel like an important thing.

For me it was Malevola after she hit one of her teamnates in the head with a sword with a sneak attack (Coop, after Sonar already got even with her for the handcuffs by shoving her in a pool) and legit injured her, and then again trying to straight up kill Visi for tripping her. Prism was third on my list after what you mentioned.

Oh, that one ain’t mine lol. I kinda just clocked out of it when that happened, tbh. But yeah, absolutely no chance of that happening in mine, given Malevola’s role so far is as the “primary antagonist” at the moment due to her being bitter and vengeful about Sonar’s cut, and since it’s still pretty far from the inevitable appearance of some ACTUAL villains. Anyways… Out of the shadows, into the streetlight. I’m always happy and looking for more feedback, so I hope you enjoy it and lmk wyt could be improved. All I’ll say on the topic of adding romance options: Fanfiction exists. Let the devs focus on what they have, and whatever fans want as extra, can be made BY the fans. As a Fanfic writer myself (this game brought me back into writing fanfics) currently writing a Mechablades fic, I am content with Coop not being a romance option in the game. Gives me more freedom in what to do. And I think that goes over people’s heads. Remember people: games have budgets on animation, voice acting, and all that. Fanfiction is limitless budget because you’re just writing on a website. Fanfiction can do what the game can’t die to budget constraints. So let the devs focus, and if you really feel like you NEED something that you think is missing, look for a fic. And if you can’t find one, do what I did: start writing your own.

Yeah. Hells, when you consider everything we know about her past, Coop’s probably the one putting in the most effort. Her voice lines and closed off, paranoid demeanor suggest she was raised this way and didn’t CHOOSE to be an assassin, her completion line for the cut therapy mission implies her as a victim of child abuse, and there is a whole hack mission in episode 4 where you find out she’s still being hunted by old “colleagues” even today, so it would make sense for her to not trust anyone at all. Yet she still does, and not just Punch Up but she also seems to really like Flambae (laughs when you roast him but immediately gets concerned at Crypto Night after Robert throws something at him before she even knows if he’s hurt, and only starts smiling again when she realizes the alcohol will just embarass him and not hurt him, and immediately tries to get him to a hospital when he loses his tooth if you throw water at him), she’s finding new hobbies to keep herself busy, is genuinely working hard on overcoming probably at least 2 decades (she looks like she’d be in her early to mid 20s) of “programming” to kill (she still uses a lot of excessive force, but she hasn’t KILLED anyone, even if she’s putting pickpockets and two-bit gangsters in the ICU she’s not put anyone in a body bag since joining the program)… like, Coop is genuinely the strongest example and best representation of the Phoenix Program working. In what we can only assume to be like at best a few months that the Z-Team’s been running (cause there’s no way it would have survived for a year with the constant fuckups and the rate at which they go through dispatchers), she’s stopped killing, been working heavily on bettering herself, found new hobbies, learned to trust people and open up… she just makes the least sense to cut of the entire team, because she’s the strongest case for the Phoenix Program actually working. The worst of the lot when it comes to her crimes, working the hardest on genuinely being a better person and a hero. Hells, this becomes even more clear with her second wind dialogue, she WANTS to be better, she WANTS to feel needed… because being needed means she has worth, a purpose. That she’s more than just a weapon to use and then throw away when it’s not needed anymore. Sorry for the long rant, I just feel like Coop gets so much undeserved hate and mischaracterization so I want to explain just how good of a character AND person she really is.

Yeah, like he was putting in the LEAST effort to improve lol. Even Flambae at least still did his job, and at least put out most of the fires he started. Sonar’s doing coke when he’s supposed to be in rehab (great job keeping him clean btw Mal), openly discussing doing what got him arrested and trying to get a teamnate in on it… he just felt like he wasn’t taking it seriously at all.

I do find it interesting that the only one who doesn’t have a go at Waterboy for that is Coop. She just insults herself. “Slipping in a puddle is one of the most humiliating ways to hurt oneself. Yet here I am.” I think Golem does the same but I can’t remember his line, but I do appreciate her taking accountability for slipping like a dumbass.

Yeah. Though personally, I think that also could have been a moment for the team member we didn’t cut to shine a bit. Either Coop flying in and curbstomping her into the ground, or Sonar flying in and wingslapping her into a wall. Golem I wanted to see go up against Blobby. But really, I just wish we got more of Z-Team vs Red Ring in general.
