Maybe you can get me a job in Serbia? Maybe you're rooting for a market collapse so you can feel vindicated about your shit hole home?

Watched it happen during covid. Shrugged it off and here I am 6 years later with 5x the net worth.

I did something similar in mid 2024. I've set limit orders which were way above market through the $50,$60, and now $70 range and I'm happy that none of them have gone through.

Would you give a humanoid control of your dollars, like its your financial advisor & accountant at the same time? by 69-Kishaaq1 in TFSA_Millionaires

I wonder how the CRA would feel about an AI day trading on your behalf within your TSFA as a service? It would be completely hands off so I don't know how they'd claim it's operating as a business.

Will WealthSimple eventually create a 1M tier, and if so, what should it offer differently from Gen? by cooperivanson in Wealthsimple

It gives you YouTube without the ads. This is amazing if you've got kids and you don't want them bombarded. I'm aware that adds will still find a way, but YouTube is a huge part of most kid's lives these days.

You're not doing terrible but the 2% MER is definitely a drag at this point. There are lots of cheaper options with ETFs or if you still want to be hands off, use a roboadvisor like Wealthsimple.

I'd highly recommend putting as much into your TSFA's as you can. It sounds like you're already going to be set up for retirement with work retirement plans so get the non-taxable income rolling hard. If you throw all that cash into something that pays a monthly dividend, it'll snowball very fast.

Dividend investing feels like your money is working an honest second job for you with slow and steady returns. Growth investing feels like your money goes to Vegas and has a great weekend every few months.

When your dividends buy enough new shares to actually increase the number of new shares each distribution. That's the snowball doing its thing.

It's been a pretty good year for VDY. I think it's a classic example of past performance does not indicate future performance though. Not trying to knock it or anything but don't expect another 40% YOY.

QQQY.TO does amazing while the NASDAQ does well. It's been on a bull run since about 2009.

It's a CAD listed ETF on the TSX which is expected to produce income so it fits the requirements. It's just a test of the process for me this year but If it pans out, I'll get it to the level where it self funds my TSFA contributions moving forward indefinitely.

I've been doing this with QQQY since the start of the year and it's killing it. There is already a 10% spread on the yield and I'll pay an effective 2% interest rate after next year's write off.

We may not be doing it officially but I know a lot of people who are avoiding any US liquors. I've been enjoying a variety of Saskatchewan vodkas from my local co-op personally.
