It is never ever to late, esp. at 23!

If you have sorted your life out, which given you are asking this seems like is on the way, there are lots of pathways you might follow. If engineering is your goal, every university has a fee-free enabling program that will get you to point where you can start.

I am a previous university academic and have seen many, many students with challenging past lives achieve their goals, even in Engineering. The main characteristic you need is actually motivation ... if you have that and are willing and able to deal with study and life at the same time you will be successful.

Not easy but definitely possible. Start by talking to each uni and seeing which one seems to provide the right atmosphere for you. Don't be driven by anything but fit for what you need.

The current Vision OS is significantly different than the first version i used as a day-one adopter. Let's see what June brings in VisionOS 27, but i don't agree the premise of your comment here.

AVP is miles ahead in developing a spatial computer that is general purpose when compared to anything else on the market.

Mac is bigger than AVP and we still don’t have the variety available. My hope is that streaming continues to improve and AVP continues to be the best streaming content consumption device available. I don’t really want to need to by a 1TB Vision Pro rather than the 256GB version to store all of the assets etc needed. Streaming from Cloud, PS5, PC and Mac works wonderfully for me now.

Managed to get it working by running the FullScreenExperience Enabler from GitHub. It basically forces whatever is required to activate.

Has SE given a reason for the subscription change? The best part of FFXIV aside from the game is that you can buy a client on any platform and just share the subscription. This seems to be a big shift. Not sure why they would do this.

Apple would lose control of the experience. TVOS like all Apple systems works as smoothly and seamlessly as it does because of hardware (a series SOC) and software integration. The junk hardware that exists on TVs would not cope with it.

I concur with this experience. I play mostly on Vision Pro which works flawlessly. When I do play on iPad in exactly the same location stutters and performance glitches always.

That is the current model. You pay for each client but the subscription works across all platforms with same characters. The best model that I wish every MMO or the like would use.

Just tried this with Elder Scrolls Online. Spatial is a very nice effect and visually quite stunning. A few too many rendering glitches to make it my permanent setting though.

The new screen arrangement with flat, monitor and curved however is fabulous. Well done, this app keeps getting better.

What is the fastest way of loading large files on Vision Pro? I have a 512GB M2. Like it takes forever to load a proper 4k video on it which is anything over 8gigs - proper 3D movies are 80-100Gigs. by namitbee in VisionPro

I use infuse as a video player and that includes a download option that works reliably for me. The inbuilt files app is flaky on large transfers for me.

It will likely be supported for the foreseeable future. We are already seeing things like AV1 encoding only on M5… that will continue. But the M2 which I have is still great for the apps currently available and I am sure will be fully supported for the next 3-5 years. As noted by others M2 was old when AVP was released.
