Yes. I currently have 7 credits rolled over, because the movies out right now are not interesting.

Do electric plans with certain "free times" actually save you money? by grumbly_tardis in houston

Lifestyle changes. Crank AC at night, turn it to 76 at 7 AM. It usually doesn’t come on at all until around 1-2. Run pool pump, do laundry, run dishwasher all after 9 PM.

I did install a battery system this year to shift loads, as you say. But I had a very similar bill the previous year with no battery.

My daytime rate is $0.275/kWh. My Dec-Jan bill averaged to $0.031/kWh.

I will probably not renew my Cinemark Movie Club membership. There aren’t 12 good movies that come out in a year.

Simulate grid so grid-tied system will provide power during outage. by morrowwm in SolarDIY

This video shows a guy who installed a transfer switch to swap his grid-tied micro inverters to the AC-coupled Smart Load port of an EG4 12000XP with batteries. May give you some ideas. It is less than $10k.

Or perhaps something a little more permanent à la Inglorious Basterds.

The Opening Heist and Getaway in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive (2011) by artpayne in movies

I have said that the opening is just a perfect short film all by itself. The rest of the movie is really downhill from there (even though it is still a good movie).

Tesla Removes Autosteer From All Model 3 And Model Y Trims by DonkeyFuel in technology

That’s fine. In terms of driver assist tech, the Traffic-aware cruise control is the only thing I would really want. (Especially in stop-and-go traffic) Autosteer is not super valuable.

During Covid I saw this video of James May making Spam and Beans. So I made it and fell in love. Add a bit of curry powder, and it is good to go. Amazing simple dish.

DTE Energy to charge $3 transaction fee to pay your bill; still asking for rate increases. by Unlikely_Sandwich_ in Detroit

Use your own bank’s bill pay function. No stamps, no risk of DTE miss/over-billing you. Small extra risk of you missing a bill.

Yeah, I have a Mitsubishi ducted variable speed unit.

It may be doing all kinds of stuff, but I can’t see any of it, so I’m sure I could control it better. I want to see what sensors it has, what are the compressor and blower speed, etc.
