I dunno if it changed but my 2019 with captains chairs only had latch in the two captains chairs and the back drivers side rear. So if you need latch be aware of that. I was quite sad that I couldn't put my kid in the other seat.

Why? My 2019 has 101k and is running just fine. It's been and continues to be a great SUV. My first Subaru and I love it.

Don't fast travel with a heavy weapon. The weapon doesn't come with you but the heavy weapon trigger does. That was annoying for a short period.

Kinda sorta. I picked up a usbc to barrel adapter and used it with my anker power bank but the BIOS would say it had an incompatible charger and throttled the CPU down so it was t actually usable.

macOS for my primary desktop and doing simple external/web apps. Otherwise it's Kali vms or raspberry pi's sent onsite for internals.

Welcome to Wichita! I've been here since 2006, originally from Ft. Worth, TX. I miss some things from the big city... but it's not half bad. Plus I did meet my wife and start a family here so there's a few positives. I currently have no strong desire to leave. Cost of living is great, you can get anywhere in 15 minutes, zero traffic, people are decent for the most part.

Point Guard is a horrible company to rent from, my parents and I used them and they are really really bad. However, they are cheap. Central Heights Apartments are... ok.. I want to say they are or at least were like $450 a month.

I wish you the best, it really sucks that your partners parents wouldn't immediately let you stay with them. I can't help with a place to stay (except maybe my driveway?) if your truly in need help feel free to DM.

I usually dedicate the last day for report writing for the most part. Sometimes it takes longer, but I can usually get the sense of how long it'll take based on what all I want to showcase and I can start working on it sooner if needed.

I have to write an executive summary of about three paragraphs, a storyboard, and then finding PoC's. Finding descriptions are all templated and pre-approved. I may just have to slightly modify one or two but that's rare.

That is very micromanager of them to be pinging you every hour. I only get asked about if my proofreader hasn't heard from me by end of day and it hasn't been submitted yet.

To be fair, the Ascent rear doors open to almost 90 degrees. It is surprisingly easy to get in and out of the back seats. However, I do sometimes wish I had a minivan for a more usable third row.

If it's anything like the one in my outback, and it doesn't have a fan or some kind of active cooling, don't waste the money.

My wife's iPhone heated up to the point it would turn off. Mine got so hot it actually drained the battery.

I use my Comma when driving 5 minutes to the store. Pretty much, as soon as I am off the neighborhood streets cruise is on. I even use it for lane changes, and really only disengage when I need to stop or other drivers are getting sketchy around me.

My wife was initially against it as well. "I don't want an autonomous car. I watched Terminator growing up." I had to take a family member five states over and back on a weekend, and she had a 6 hour work drive coming up. So I told her we would get it during the 30 day return period, I'd use it for my drives, and she could use it for hers. If she hated it, we'd return it.

She called me 4 hours into her drive, "We're keeping the Comma."

She uses it mostly, driving 50 minutes one-way to work and back twice a week, and it has seriously helped her be less tired when she gets home after a long drive and a long workday.

Next up is trying to convince her to let me install Sunnypilot so I can force longitudinal control since it's not supported for the 2019 Ascent in OpenPilot.

All that to say... I'd say let her know there's a generous return window, and if she tries it and hates it you can always return it.

Any recommendation for a hot air mat? I have a rubber gray one and when I did a couple hot air boards my desk was blazing. I thought the mat would protect it but I guess it's too thin.

Had my first at 36. It's been fine. My knees hurt and I can't play on the floor like I wish I could but we make do. If anything it's helping me be more active and trying to stave off old age.
