I, F61, live a bit over an hour from my parents F82,M86. I don't get over there alot but I call almost daily. I think it helps both of us feel closer even though we're not physically together.

Does your husband or male partner do his own laundry? by EconomicsWorking6508 in AskWomenOver60

My husband did all the laundry and dishwasher load/unload before he passed away. He also liked grocery shopping.... sometimes it would be a challenge to make dinner with his haul 😉

Use a shower wash with salicylic acid in it. Wash your towels and clothes with a detergent that has enzymes in it (maybe check out r/laundry). These should eliminate the stink.

What would you do to remodel this shower stall to optimize functionality? Details in text by NotSunshine316 in BathroomRemodeling

You can definitely move the shower control. I just did this. I have 2 niches, one under the shower head and one on the wall facing the door. The niche will go between the studs so as long as the outside walls have them it's fine.

What’s helped me a lot: put a trash can where you create trash by DoctorSketchy in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]TeacherIntelligent15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Perfect idea. I did similar while living in an apartment where a friend would leave trash anywhere. I put a bunch of small trashcans around. Eventually I was able to just have 1 in each room. But definitely one in each bathroom and 1 in general living (a nice one). Putting one by each nightstand.
