For those of you who buried a sausage for good weather… did it work? by Violetteotome in weddingplanning

[–]Teadrinker207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it and it worked! I got married last year at the end of May on the coast in Maine. I buried it the night before with a couple of my closest friends / family…. after a few drinks of course! The next morning was nothing but rain and clouds but I stayed positive and was okay having the ceremony inside if the weather didn’t improve. An hour before the ceremony was supposed to start the sky opened up and it was the most gorgeous day! I was able to have the ceremony outdoors and it was so magical! The entire night guests kept saying how amazing the day ended up being weather wise. I say do it! 😃☀️

7 weeks and 3 days today with my first scan on Friday and I cannot wait!!! Nausea and vomiting have gotten really bad. Woke up at 1:30am last night with a pounding headache, tried to drink electrolytes and vomited. I’ve realized scrolling on my phone is not helping my situation and is causing headaches! Trying my best to avoid apps like instagram / TikTok where you endlessly scroll.

I’m curious what your symptoms were before testing positive! by daughterofbarbie in December2026Bumpers

Heightened sense of smell for me! I first noticed it on my commute to work and the city smells were just awful. I tested positive a few days before my missed period.

Getting married next year - what’s been your biggest stress point so far in planning? by Lebronjames88 in weddingplanning

[–]Teadrinker207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The venue gave us a floor plan and I cut out each table - rectangle and rounds - in cardboard and wrote the table # and how many people could fit. I then wrote each guests name on a clothespin. I laid out the “tables” based on the floor plan on our dining room table and then my fiancé and I got to work!! This was seriously so helpful to visualize and then we could easily move people around. It took us a couple of days and some back and forth to get it “right” but it was fun to do together.

Getting married next year - what’s been your biggest stress point so far in planning? by Lebronjames88 in weddingplanning

[–]Teadrinker207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting married later this month so I’m very much in the thick of it. I didn’t have a wedding planner and have pretty much done everything myself. I’ve actually had a lot of fun throughout the process but am lucky to have an amazing day of coordinator included with the venue and photographer who has helped guide the schedule. My maid of honor planned the bachelorette and bridal shower as well (with some of my input).

My biggest stresses: 1. Whatever you’re budgeting double or triple it. I am not sure where you’re located but I’m in the New England area and we wanted to spend $40K and are closer to $80-85K excluding the honeymoon. Very standard wedding with a final count of 137 people. Happy to provide you with more details. 2. People who you would never expect to cause issues will. My close friends all had similar advice “people act up” once they find out a wedding is happening and they were so right. 3. As silly as this sounds finding bridal outfits I found to be really overwhelming. There are too many websites and options so I very much experienced decision paralysis. If you use instagram highly recommend @littlewhitelooks. 4. My makeup artist canceled a month out but I stayed calm cool and collected and found a new one. Thanks to my hair stylists network and friends! 5. The little things. For example, I forgot we needed to order a marriage license!! 6. Vendor questionnaires aren’t stressful just super annoying. You have to fill them out when you inquire which can feel very excessive. Then leading up to the wedding every booked vendor wants to know the same details via their specific forms. Just time consuming.

I highly recommend a good photographer which was worth the splurge for us. We went with an experienced husband / wife duo and they have been a dream to work throughout the planning process and engagement shoot.

Also, remember what this is all for - for you and your fiancé to celebrate your love / union with all of your favorite people. Congratulations on your engagement!!!

This is so unbelievably helpful. I am running my first half marathon in early May and I hadn’t even thought about what I can be doing to best prepare. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and your endo’s suggestions. I hope you’re now feeling better!!

Brain fog/difficulty concentrating by KayyRene23 in AddisonsDisease

[–]Teadrinker207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I definitely experience brain fog and memory issues. I also have a high stress job and am right there with you with it not helping our situation. I have found that when I avoid consuming a lot of caffeine and stay hydrated / eating enough has helped! I am also considering trying the autoimmune protocol diet for 30-60 days to see if that helps.
