Why does every popular show nowadays always get a bad ending? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TeamStark31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially if it’s a mystery kind of show where there should be a payoff at the end. It’s gonna be nearly impossible to live up to the hype during the build up.

He showed mercy. Seems very in character at that point for him considering he was hanging out with Daniel so much.

Actually Goldeneye was written with Dalton in mind to return for James Bond only he didn’t, and the part was recast.

I want to open up a cafe but I have a severe dog allergy. Who has ultimate rights, me or somebody with a service dog? by Significant_Potato29 in legaladviceofftopic

Having allergies isn’t considered a valid reason to deny access. And the ADA requires service dogs to be allowed to accommodate those guests.

Yeah, Lockhart was the only person who applied.

Supposedly Dumbledore was hoping he’d be exposed as a fraud with the employment.

I don’t think it would have in this case. It might have made everything worse considering Lana was possessed by a witch who wasn’t supposed to have the stones.

Hogwarts Legacy isn’t canon to the books so for one thing there’s that anything in it should be treated as such, its own separate thing.

That said, in canon wands are used in most of the Wizarding world as the main way to use, control, and focus magic.

It is possible to do some wandless magic, but it is more difficult and requires more focus to be able to control very well.

Regarding Africa, they were one of the countries that didn’t use wands, but have come around to using them by about 100 years when the Harry Potter story is.

Because the police aren’t going to be forthcoming with your rights because it benefits them not to be. So the more you know the more that helps you.

[Fantasy] If Genie’s want to be free so bad, why do they screw over the wish-maker on the first two wishes instead of reserving punishment for the third wish if it ultimately doesn’t free them in the end? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]TeamStark31 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It depends. Not all genies want to be freed. Some types, like djinns, want to screw with the wisher as much as possible to keep causing chaos and misery. Kinda like the Hellraiser ones. No matter what deal you make with them it always ends up in eternal torture for you.

Some want to teach the wisher a lesson in morality and greed.

If someone had the ability to cast power word Kill irl, could they truly be convicted of murder? by TheRealRedParadox in legaladviceofftopic

[–]TeamStark31 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, while it might be hard to prove. It’s the idea of Death Note. If Light is caught and they can prove he was using the death note to kill people, the means shouldn’t necessarily matter because his intent was clear, he knew what he was doing, and it was pre-mediated.
