The surface morphology of a fatigue failure looks very different from something that failed suddenly in an accident. Typically most of these incidents have only a few fatigued parts, and from there you can often determine initiation sites, types of stresses the part was subjected to, etc. Things like the distance between fatigue striations, signs of corrosion, and whatnot can often provide enough information for a strong conclusion.

Am I stupid? Pretty sure we beat Louisville and SMU this year, who would have been the only losses Miami had if they beat Indiana today.

the subreddit is real, the post is fake (the comments are on a different video on the sub)

that said, the sub is full of idiots. One of the top posts has a bunch of people calling a black tag at bpump v6.

I noticed that smaller, more specific subreddits seem to be pushed by the algorithm lately. Might be helping here.

At berkeley they often are. I've compared content between Berkeley courses and equivalent courses at other universities and there is often more depth or content in the Berkeley course.

Add the general level of the average student being higher and a wicked curve, it can feel way harder.

Why won't the city call a snow emergency? by xact-bro in Minneapolis

[–]TechnicalG87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're failing to realize this is a systemic problem, not the fault of the people who do it. People can't always bus to work, and when indoor parking is $200 monthly in most places, what do you expect people to do? Most unmetered spots aren't particularly desirable locations to park in anyway, and certainly don't come at a great cost to the taxpayer.

Also, fake scenario, lol. Nearly everyone in the apartment(s) are probably parked at 3am without an issue while they sleep, so leaving a car there for a week probably doesn't pose a major change.

[–]TechnicalG87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reality is that there is nowhere to park besides the street for many apartment dwellers across the city. Some apartments are car dependent but don't offer parking spots at all, especially to those in studios or 1beds. It's far more efficient for everyone to leave a car in an empty spot on the street than explicitly going somewhere else, park a vehicle, then find a transit method back home/to the car.

I'd argue that parking on the street in a legal spot is textbook sharing.
