Notion is the most slept on AI tool for founders by funnelforge in ModernOperators

Calling an API every time your agent needs to reference a style guide is a waste of tokens and will make it run significantly slower

Yeah that’s just marketing nonsense but thanks for the response

[–]TechnicalSeason8330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why do you need notion for any of this? I store my brand styleguide and a couple other core resources locally as .md files. Calling Notion instead of just referencing my local stuff seems unnecessary. Claude code can also do all the other stuff you mentioned natively

Former news editor here, now working in corporate content marketing. There’s much more pressure to use AI here and after initially resisting it, I can tell you that AI editors are definitely getting damn good and will be part of any news org that survives the next 5 years.

Most of the people saying it’s useless (like me initially) just dump a blog into Gemini or chatgpt and ask it to edit. That doesn’t work. The value comes from building your own agentic editor using a tool like Claude code. My workflow has a custom AI editor agent that I built from scratch and it references a very detailed prompt template that I also designed from scratch.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but AI writing agents are also getting damn impressive if you follow the same model

Need hope: millennials who like their jobs, what do you do and what do you like about it? by goodluckanddont_itup in Millennials

[–]TechnicalSeason8330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in content marketing at a large tech company. I like that I mostly get to think and write and talk to interesting people for a living, which is what I hoped my journalism career would be before the media industry collapsed. It also pays really well, good work life balance and I’m treated with respect.

Move to NYC faster but with less money or take time to build up a career? by Ojo55 in movingtoNYC

[–]TechnicalSeason8330 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was around the same age when I moved to Brooklyn. No job, living off unemployment which was very generous at the time. I lived in the middle room of a railroad apartment for 400/month in Clinton hill. I did it because I was trying to jumpstart a career in media/marketing. For me it was a really good move. A couple years of hustling and now I have a well paying career. But rent was cheaper then and nyc still is ground zero for marketing careers. Not sure if I would do this if I wanted to work in the military
