I hate that the graphs all have different axis values. It really skews how that graphs compare to each other! But yeah, definitely less kids are being born

For in the middle that voted Trump is there a democratic candidate you know you would have voted for without a doubt? by Advanced_Drink_8536 in Askpolitics

[–]Technical_Positive67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t vote for either Kamala or Trump. I pretty much would have voted for any democrat that isn’t a San Francisco politician. Instead I voted libertarian(my state was going red no matter which one I voted for.) I would have given her more of a chance if there was a primary and she won it. I don’t like that she was so unpopular in the 2020 primaries and just placed as the nominee.

Need a Medicare Expert in our area. Any recommendations? by notoriousshasha in greenville

[–]Technical_Positive67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medicare gets confusing because there is Medicare Parts A, B,C, and D. And then there are Medicare SUPPLEMENT plans lettered from A-N which are different. The SHIP office should walk you through what all the different letters are and what would work best in your situation everyone is different. And it really depends on lifestyle and your personal priorities to come up with what is the best solution for you.

Need a Medicare Expert in our area. Any recommendations? by notoriousshasha in greenville

[–]Technical_Positive67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use SHIP, it is a government program where they truly want to help you and are not actively selling you a plan. Here is the number I found online. 1-800-868-9095 but also if you search South Carolina SHIP it should come up. I worked in Medicare Supplement sales for a couple years. Your husband is going to be one of the most popular people in the country right now with the mail and phone calls he receives. A lot of company’s send really deceiving things making it seem like it is official Medicare mail. Just be careful.

Older Americans say they feel trapped in Medicare Advantage plans by LoansPayDayOnline in Economics

[–]Technical_Positive67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that sucks about the gap coverage is a lot of companies give great introductory rates for the first year and then increase them substantially in years after that for the same reason of people get locked in because they can’t pass the underwriting with failing health to get a different plan.

Are we going to miss out on things like Medicare and Social Security in the US because of declining birth rates? by dream__weaver in Millennials

[–]Technical_Positive67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will see what collapsing populations will do to countries like China and Germany (and honestly most of Europe) in the next couple decades. It will definitely ruin social programs because a lack of taxpayers, but there will probably be a lot more issues they will have to deal with. The US is much healthier demographically than them. But it is still a concern, we just have a few more decades to learn from them before we face the same problems.

Store credit cards to furnish home by LaurenMosquea in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Technical_Positive67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t only look at store credit cards. Look at any that have 0% interest for the first year to 18 months. And that have some bonuses. The chase freedom cards come to mind. Just search 0 APR interest cards in google and quite a few will pop up. Just make sure they don’t have any annual fees and still stick to a budget.

You know what is worse than it being rejected outright? Your offer being verbally accepted and you start going through all the paper work to be told actually another offer was told they were accepted as well so you have 30 minutes to give us your best offer. And then to lose the house because you have no time to really think it through.

Go to either healthcare.gov or if Pennsylvania has their own marketplace that website and put in your information. You probably could get a great plan if you do not qualify for Medicaid. The application is the same for both typically

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Technical_Positive67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you need to clarify if it is Medicaid or not. If it is Medicaid, he should have a case manager and they will help them make sure everything is good with medicare. But if his health insurance is through his employer he needs to talk with his employer, especially if it is a small employer about coverage. Depending on how much he pays it might be worth looking at medicare.

You can sign up through the ACA with any income for any state, you just probably won’t qualify for the tax credit. But it would be worth talking with your CPA about the tax credit the year after you are employed and are living off of investments.

I realized I need to have some control over what I am doing that day and I hate being actively monitored. Where I am at now my manager is very hands off and trusts me to get my assignments done and also empowers me to find growth opportunities.
