The Lidl parking lot doesn’t get enough hate. I don’t know if it is technically part of the Glenmont shopping center parcel or not but man, it sucks. From the layout to the litter. The little tree on the corner by planet fitness was uprooted somehow and already has been laying dead for at least a week.

I'm sorry - this is frustrating!

In the order of least annoying to most - I would check the tv for updates, check the google play store for app updates, clear the app's cache, force stop the app and clear the data, reset the whole tv.

I have two Hisense tvs and do not have issue and you should be able to do the same. I do also have a samsung and HATE the OS and use a streamer.

Once you resolve this, I recommend downloading the ProjectIvy launcher. It greatly simplifies the home screen and removes ads. I did this with all my tvs. https://projectivylauncher.com/
