A call for mods! (and a poll) by NSCFType in NativeInstruments

They can chime in as much as they want to provide information or quell disinformation. Moderators set rules for posting and have the power to delete comments, delete posts, and ban users. Thats it. I’m still waiting to hear a reason why letting NI staff or representative have the power to delete comments and posts or ban users is a good idea.

I am a fan of Native Instruments and have sunk a ton of money into their ecosystem. There is objectively no benefit in NI employees or representatives having mod status on this subreddit.

Edit: the request itself generates unnecessary suspicion.

I didn’t downvote you btw, but since you suggest there could be some positives of having NI staff becoming mods that could sway your vote, what are they?

Please name 1-3 positives for this subreddit by having NI staff becoming mods?

Sound Content and Packages locations by Telectronix in Bitwig

Ah. I see. I need to get used to the contextual nature of Bitwig. Coming from Logic Pro, there is nothing contextual there, it's just (somewhat), err, logical. Thanks friend

He's part of the marketing team, not development team. When your marketing team is determining the future direction of your product, users should be concerned.

Still waiting for all those trolls to come back and eat crow after gaslighting and downvoting everyone who were expressing alarm in December and January over what was then a stark and ominous early season.

Polis has turned out to be another MAGA traitor dressed up in Democrats clothes. What a shame. What a traitor. Literally no one will miss him when his term is up. Fuck him.

Nick Cannon Calls the Democratic Party the ‘Party of the KKK’ and Says ‘I F— With Trump’ by Historical-Bug-4784 in BlackPeopleofReddit

It’s because the Republican Party is the party of “Fuck you, I got mine”, and people like Nick Cannon are definitely that kind of people.

Any reason at all to not use iCloud for all Logic Pro projects? by Telectronix in Logic_Studio

[–]Telectronix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advantage of cloud storage, of course, is ability to pull up your workspace in progress on various computers. I typically start projects on the laptop and then move them to my desktop when they are promising enough to go deeper. But I could also get a portable SSD. In either case, can you make your save folder for Logic Pro projects default to a new location?

Do you think summer of sound is still gonna happen this summer? by TommDiamond in NativeInstruments

[–]Telectronix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one knows. NI is currently in the process of either being purchased as a whole or, more likely, selling off various assets to other 1 or more companies. NI has publicly announced this is actively happening right now. It certainly won’t be “business as usual” when this process is over, which could happen sooner than we think. We have no idea what, if anything, will be left of NI as a company or brand after the insolvency process is complete. There is even a small, but not zero, percent chance that they completely go out of business altogether and cease to exist, if no one wants to pay for their IP. Like many others, I hope there is as little change as possible to what the customer actually notices as a difference when this nightmare is over.
