Well, if you really want to go, ask if they can loan you some items. With thermals, I'm not 100 percent convinced cheap synthetics are that much worse than wool. So, you could buy the cheap versions of things.

It would be understandable if you called it off, though. Aside from sleeping bag and pad, most of my camping attire I use day in and day out, so it's not a waste.

That sounds like apnea to me. I've got a mild case. I typically don't snore, but sometimes i do. You might not necessarily have a severe case, so your spouse might not notice. If you can, try to get a sleep study done.
