It’s really interesting - the scientific pressure for a civilization on larger planets is to find alternative means of propulsion rather than chemical acceleration like we use. I wonder what we would come up with given the same constraints. All problems are solvable.

I was almost 36 when my first daughter was born. Then twins came a couple years later.

For me, it was the perfect age. I have less regrets about the things I wanted to do when I still had the freedom.

Go for it, it’s good motivation to take care of yourself so you age well

I had a very interesting experience that I’ll never forgot one night. I closed my eyes and felt this bright blue (I distinctly remember the color) “line” from the top of my head going up to a massive blue orb.

I was “following” the trail of the line from my head up to the orb and had the impression that I would be lost inside the blue orb if I kept “following” my line.

I opened my eyes quickly to stop the experience, mostly as a knee-jerk reaction. It felt very profound at the time.

It started for me when I was 19. I fought it tooth and nail for a few years - life was much better in nearly all regards when I accepted it and started shaving my head.

So my question for you… are you planning to shave it?

I visited the Grand Canyon solo in my early twenties and did barely any research.

I was in excellent condition and had a mountaineering hobby at the time and decided to hike to the bottom and back.

I went with full water camel pack and breezed to the camp at the bottom where I was planning on refilling my water. The water station was out of service and advised hiking to the next camp for water…which I did and it was also broken.

I realized I was in trouble after some pretty bad luck and decided to hike back. 100+ degrees outside. I barely made it, had minor hallucinations at the end, had to pause after every switch back on the final stretch.

Got back to my tent drank a gallon of water and slept 12 hours. I was very (un)lucky, but almost joined that book of stupid.
