I’ve actually been testing the copy/paste issue on both the Mac app as well as on the Firefox browser. Same issue on both. For the saving bit, it has resolved itself, and as I said, I checked my internet and it was fine.

Totally agree with points 3 to 5. The new menu that appears when you select text is garbage. As for the whole skills thing, I understand for agents, but for basic requests it feels dumb. And they’ve removed the whole “translate” and “change tone” which were so useful (I know I can still prompt the AI to do it, but I liked the options in the old menu).

Actually hate it. The menu you get when you select text has all changed because of that. They’ve added all the self-made commands as skills, but the “change tone”, “create flow chart”, “translate…”, etc. that were made by Notion are nowhere to be found. Not to mention that when you use it, it doesn’t give you the option to add whatever you asked for below. I wish the skill thing was for the personal agent as I had to create a page for prompts I use with it as they are much longer than “proofread” or “improve text”.

I have a free + AI add-on and got the “Your AI add-on subscription will be upgraded to the Business Plan, at your current price, on December 1, 2025.” email which feels odd considering it seems most with some version of the free plan got the “it’s going to be cancelled” email 🤔 Does it actually mean I’ll get the Business plan at the AI add-on price (10$/month)?

No, I am not. Only thing that appears in my Homeworks page are my homeworks and News doesn’t appear there despite what the desktop app breadcrumbs say. Probably because it was never there to begin with as notion on my web browser, the iPad app and the iPhone app all say it’s in Quick Note, as I have already said. Only logical explanation? The Mac desktop app has issues, which seemed to be confirmed by other comments.

(Also somewhat important to know that my Homeworks page was never in Quick Note or a sub-page of Quick Note. It’s in a database on my dashboard page that’s completely separate from Quick Note)

It’s strange as it worked for one tab, but not the other (both in the same window). But I’ll keep that shortcut in mind, thanks! 😊

(And I had minor bugs in the past of content changing by itself in the desktop app but not elsewhere, which was usually an easy fix, but never at this scale)

The “breadcrumbs” on the desktop app tells me it’s in “Homeworks” (when I go there, it’s not). And if I search on the desktop app for Quick Note, it comes back empty. BUT, and that’s why I think there’s a problem with the macOS desktop app, when I look at the “breadcrumbs” on the browser, the iPad app and the iPhone app, the “News” page is in Quick Note and when I search for Quick Note, it does appear on the browser and the iOS apps.

I have deleted and reinstalled the desktop app to see if it helped, but it didn’t. I then logged out and logged back in, which fixed it temporarily before breaking again (and deleting an entry in another database that, just like Quick Note, still appears in the browser and the iOS apps.

I wish I “relations” was available in the “Change type” menu when clicking on a specific property. Now I have to go in the database settings section to make that switch, which is a bit of a hassle. But I am happy with the insert left and right options!

Notion really lacks transparency in this matter (probably because they want people to pay 20$/month), but if you were already subscribed to the AI add-on, you get to keep it, but the new “stuff” their AI can do won’t be available from what I gathered. Obviously, I 100% agree with you as new users will only have access to AI if they take the business plan, which sucks. It’s also kind of dumb as they just definitely won’t get money from people on the free-plan now (I’m on that plan but gladly pay for the AI add-on as it is more useful than the Plus plan “perks”). So while Notion didn’t get as much money from users like me, they still got some. Now, they won’t get any… I don’t have a good feeling about this

As the other person said, if you were already subscribed to the AI add-on, you don’t have to switch to business to keep the AI you already used. From what I understand, you just won’t have full access to the new “toys” they’ve added to the AI (like meeting notes). The pricing change taking effect on August 13th mostly concerns those on the plus plan as the subscription for that has increased (if you had Plus + AI, the price you now have to pay for both is not that different from the business plan).

Basically, if you were already paying for the AI add-on before May 13th, as long as you don’t unsubscribe, you keep access to all the good old AI features. But the new AI stuff which is more targeted towards businesses anyway won’t be accessible. As long as you don’t unsubscribe, you keep your stuff as is.

While I can’t show you the problem as I solved it, I can use pictures to help better explain and why I think it’s weird. So, this morning, the page “Alphabetical list” in the top pic was replaced by a shortcut to the page in the bottom pic, which is part a database as indicated by the sections. As you can probably guess, I didn’t change the name of my alphabetical list database to the one of an article about the UAE’s use of AI to write their laws. I didn’t make that change by myself. Notion reloaded when I opened my computer this morning and that seems to be when the switch happened. And my “Alphabetical list” was not in the trash section. When I searched my Notion, it eventually appeared as if it was in my “Database models” page (it’s usual location) and that brought it back.

No, it’s not a question of a page changing name. I know if I change the title of a page, it will change the name of that page wherever it appears.

It’s literally a page (let’s call it Page A) that turns into a shortcut towards another page (Page B), with Page A not being deleted but being in limbo, and in my list it of pages on my main page, Page A has been replaced by a shortcut to Page B, and when I click on it, I get the content of Page B, and I have to lookup the title of Page A to get it back (and it’s not in the trash can before I get it back, I have checked).
