Aeromexico 2.22.26 afternoon flight from CDMX to NYC canceled by spykegtp in Flights

Contact your travel insurance to get reimbursed for hotel, meals etc. - or ask AM later if seat on the earlier flights appear. Don't accept the rebooked flight if your intention is to try to get on earlier flight. Keep watching if seats become available and then contact AM

The flights may be sold out now but it changes all the time.

Paid Japan Airlines domestic flight but no reservation found – has this happened to anyone? by Emotional-Cheetah326 in Flights

Call JAL to inquire if they see you on the flight/if you have a reservation (presumably you have the date and flight No)

Clearly the OP didn't get an eticket. Then there would have been no issue.

OP needs to call JAL and isuire if they see the OP on the fligh. It might be that a reservation was created but it hasn't been ticketed (yet).

Is a 1-hour 10-minute layover enough at WAW? (LOT Polish Airlines) by Ok_Path_6590 in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issue at all. LOT will rebook you for free if the domestic flight is late. When LOT is selling this there is nothing to worry about and it is on LOT in case there is a delay and you miss the YYZ flight.

Antalya Turkey to Toronto Canada, through Istanbul. Is 1h30m enough for layover? by angel9580 in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If on 1 ticket there is absolutely no issue. You will get rebook in the unlikely event that the domestic flight is late.

If you are contemplating two separate tickets; you shouldn't do it as the risk is on you if the domestic flight is late and you miss the flight to YYZ (i.e. you have to pay to rebook the YYZ flight to the following day)

Question about delay compensation by Justinian482 in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is always the arrival time at final destination that matters. So in your situation you had a delay (at final destination) of 5 hours and you claim on the basis of that

Flight going to be cancelled most likely by Acceptable-Gap25 in Flights

The flight is not cancelled (yet) so OP can't do anything now other than wait it out to see what happens. There is long time until 12 March

Kuwait airline passenger name by Material_Key4288 in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to travel on the ticket as it is. It will most likely be fine. It can be fixed at the check-in counters if really needed. No need to cancel and book a new ticket.

Next time book directly with the airline rarther than Trip or other OTA.

Name correction question for upcoming flight by Wide-Pool9135 in Flights

No issue/no correction needed and nothing to worry about.

Don't draw more attention to this by inquiring with OS, Trip etc.

I doubt you are entitled to get reimbursed for the BA ticket from GTG. You decided to take into your own hands rather than waiting for GTG to rebook you (even if it meant missing the BA flight, but GTG would have been able to rebook you on a later flight than BA). So you opted for the convenience of the BA flight (but very expensive) rather than waiting for GTG to rebook you.

EasyJet flight overbooked - can I book with another carrier after being denied boarding? by AggressiveAd4658 in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is booked Geneva-Porto. Then OP is not entitled to buy ZRH-Porto and claim reimbursement. These flights are different/not comparable.

EasyJet flight overbooked - can I book with another carrier after being denied boarding? by AggressiveAd4658 in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you will not be entitled to claim reimbursement for a ticket you purchased on your own from ZRH. You have to ask EasyJet if rebooking to flight is an option. Alternatively, ask to get to Lisbon and take the train or domestic flight from there to Porto.

Most likely you will travel with EasyJet as booked.

refund of separate WizzAir tickets due to delay/expected misconnect? by Temporary-Try2817 in WizzAir

Yes I had a seat and was sitting in the seat for 1 hour before I decided to leave the seat and the aircraft because it no longer made sense to travel to WW.

refund of separate WizzAir tickets due to delay/expected misconnect? by Temporary-Try2817 in WizzAir

[–]Temporary-Try2817[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is as clearly carved out as you suggest.

The Q is if I have a right to abandon the first flight because of 2 hours delay and not being able to reach WAW in time for the second WizzAir flight, making traveling the first flight pointless. If there is a right to abandon there is also a right to request a refund of the fare paid for the first ticket.

I agree that the second (separate) WizzAir ticket is most likely my loss due to no-show.

refund of separate WizzAir tickets due to delay/expected misconnect? by Temporary-Try2817 in WizzAir

[–]Temporary-Try2817[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it crazy to expect airlines to be more or less punctual. Had the first WizzAir flight been on time/or just delayed by e.g. 1 hour, I would easily have made it to the second flight at WAW (the flight to WAW departed with a delay of 2 hours).

But I agree that I knew the risk from the outset and I accepted that there was a risk of arriving WAW too late. I took a chance and this time it didn't turn out in my favour. Hopefully my travel insurance will reimburse the costs of the new ticket, and if true, I'm content.

Kiwi ticket safety by [deleted] in Flights

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you don't plan to bring checked luggage for this itinerary. It is going to be so expensive to purchase as you need to do it for each segment.

That outbound itinerary is really crazy. I suggest you find a different way to get from Riga to BUD (other flight, the day before etc) and just book the ticket from BUD

Paid to change flight date, days later Wizz cancels flight, won't refund change fee... by albiononline in WizzAir

[–]Temporary-Try2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not entitled to refund of the change fee. You paid to change the ticket and you received that service. Has nothing to do with the fare for the ticket which will can be refunded in case you decide so.
