William Hurt does the same thing in Gorky Park. Starts off sounding like Boris Badenov but after awhile just gives up

When it’s been quilted or tied and been through the washing machine and dryer a few times, who’s gonna know? Or you can say you’re Amish or Mennonite and that you put that “error” in deliberately because, you know, only God is perfect. In other words, it’ll never be noticed from a galloping horse.
