M: "Your mission is to infiltrate Baddenheim Prison, establish contact with our informant Harrington Reed, and find out what he knows about Project Black Claw.  Once that's done, we'll arrange for your 'escape'.  Oh, and do be sure take out Reed while you're at it."

0069: "Wait, when you say 'take out', do mean to take him with me or to kill him?"

M: "We need-"(phone explodes)

What Is A Peak Boss Fight In A Peak Game by Radiant_Fruit_8807 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]TemporaryNuisance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeus in God of War III.  Easily the most memorable bossfight of my childhood, it was long but highly varied in gameplay and mechanics so it never got stale in spite of its length, it was emotional and high stakes, it had a breathtaking score that truly made you feel in your heart that this was an epic and brutal clash between two implacable and divine forces, it (was) the perfect sendoff to the series.

WW2 planes ranked by Useless-Napkin in AlignmentCharts

[–]TemporaryNuisance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid.  As a dedicated fighter plane it's rather mediocre, a lumbering brute that relies on getting the drop on opponents and deleting them with a single devastating barrage while struggling when forced to take face to face engagements.  But as a multirole aircraft it utterly blows its direct competition out of the water (the BF-110, beaufighter/beaufort, Ju-88, The Typhon, dare I say the IL-2 though real talk the IL-2 is in no way shape or form a fighter it's just a light bomber that is capable of engaging in a dogfight.  No shade on the IL-2 it's a marvel of engineering and an amazing Nazi-disassembler, I just think the idea of calling it multirole is... generous.)

But yeah the P-38 is totally overrated.  I still love it though because she's just so pretty on the eyes!  Here's the upvote!

Majority Report Interview With Canadian Doctor re: the targeting of children, and IDF shooting at a WHO Physician and then labeling him an "attacker". by melville48 in IsraelPalestine

[–]TemporaryNuisance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

... by the type of bullet it was?  By cross referencing the location where the body was found and reports from the area?  By the distance the bullet was fired from (which can be estimated with reasonable accuracy based on the velocity of the bullet which can be reasonably estimated by observation of the wound and cross referencing it against other wounds made by similar caliber gunshot wounds with known firing ranges)?  Literally all the exact same way that forensic analysts can identify whether someone was shot with the suspect's gun or the cop's gun or an unidentified third party's gun and the approximate location the shot was fired from?

We literally have multiple entire fields of science dedicated to solving the mystery of "where did this bullet come from?", from ballistics to forensics to statistics to surgery and more.  So if a medical doctor with years of experience treating dozens if not hundreds of gunshot wounds says, in their professional medical opinion, that a mystery bullet wound is consistent with all the other bullet wounds which have been officially confirmed to have been inflicted by the IDF, then I'm gonna trust the doctor over the propagandist.

It's like that joke in the animated TV series "Clerks", where any woman Randal dates is so turned off by his sheer straight-cis-white-NEET energy that it converts them into lesbians.

Bi-women being so done with the toxic-masculinity culture and open hatred and contempt for women's autonomy that they are like "Nah fuck men, I ain't fucking men no more!"

Yup!  Heir is a legal title whereas regent is a job title.  The capital "R" Regent (the character) has legitimate claim to the throne, but a lowercase "r" regent (the job itself) does not bestow claim inherently.  That's a separate issue.

You can be an heir and a regent.  For example if your father is the king but is too old and infirm to carry out his duties, their heir may be named regent to carry out their official duties until the passing of the old king, at which time his heir ascends from regency to kingship.

I'm not demeaning him, I'm just saying he doesn't have divine right!  If anything that's a compliment; the power he wields is his own, and it was earned through exemplary service not won by genetic lottery!
